A korean place that's open 24 hours? That's like finding the rarest legendary pokemon in the wild. So how's the food quality? ABSOLUTELY GREAT. How's the service? It's aiight (they're always busy so that might be a contributing factor to the nonchalant-ness of the wait staff). If you come after 9pm you're gucci because the adjacent shoppers drug mart parking lot right next to it has free parking after 9pm. If you drive here before 9 start praying for a parking spot or find a spot in a neighborhood nearby and walk it. The resto is located in willowdale basically in the heart of koreatown along yonge and finch. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how large the portion sizes are for a 24 hr resto. The kam pung ki (yangnyeom KFC) is a must order for me (super crispy and sooo juicy). It also comes boneless and the chicken is so moist. I also like to order kalbi tang here since my old spot for kalbi tang, Jinmee, shuttered its doors in markham. Jinmee's kalbi tang was incomparable. Biggest beef ribs, cooked for super long so the meat just slid right off with one tug. No other kalbi tang had come close until I tried it on a whim at Huh Ga Ne. Very very good kalbi tang here. The resto used to have a bit of a unique setup. Right side of the resto was regular tables, chairs and bench seating. The left half of the resto had like old style seating where you had to basically sit on your knees and kneel or cross your legs while you ate. I'm glad they got rid of the kneeling tables and all the tables are regular chair tables now. Food prices have gone up post-covid inflation obviously but it hasn't gotten egregious yet. And like I said, they do give you huge portions. The bonus point HAS to be that they're open 24 hrs.

This place is 24/7! I have been here twice, once during the pandemic (pre renovation) and last night. During the pandemic I promised myself that next time I come I will dine in the section with very low tables and sit cross legged for the full Korean experience. It looked awesome and very authentic, unfortunately when I went last night they had removed that section entirely and now have regular booths as a result of their new renovation. Aside from that, if you come here keep in mind you will spend a lot of money. We ordered the "T2 - Ju Mul Luck" (Marinated Sliced Sirloin Beef) cooked on the table for two w/ "Seafood Tofu Soup." We also ordered the "M18B - Warm Bi Bim Bap." It came with 6 complimentary sides (Radish, Kimchi, Been Sprouts, etc.) We also received two bowls of rice. Lots of options as well, we enjoyed the style of eating and for a 24/7 spot this place is definitely great! I probably would not get the "Ju Mul Luck" again as I feel like there wasn't enough beef for $70! I recommend comming here it it's late night and it's after regular hours, for a little bit extra money I will rather eat this than go to a fast food place! To my surprise, my absolute favorite thing that I ate here and I thoroughly enjoyed was the "Seafood Tofu Soup"! I will most definitely order that again separately and come here again during the cold winter months for it. The soup was nice, creamy, spicy, full of flavors and had great seafood bites to it! 10/10 I recommend that soup, add a little rice to it and you got yourself a full meal almost.

Maybe the only thing I liked in my dining experience here was the availability and option of eating at a low wooden table and floor. It adds to the authenticity and immersion of East Asian dining. What was unacceptable is the level of service we had here. I would like to believe that our server was trying to be polite and courteous, but it does not always seem that way. There were a few times too many where she just came off as rude in her replies. The serving time is also very terrible. It was always taking a long time to get anything done. The attendants were not always looking at our direction to see if we are needing something. I had to personally look back over my shoulder to wait for any employee to meet my eye and catch on that I needed something. I already accounted for the fact that it may be around peak lunch time when we were there, but I know that it was not at all extremely packed and busy. We did not get a regular supply of side dish refills because no one was properly and regularly serving our table. The time when we did get someone to finally come over, we had a lot of accumulated pending requests. There was already quite a long list of uncleared things that we needed — refills for many of the side dishes, an extra plate to hold the cooked food, water refills, napkins, etc. Instead of acknowledging their inefficiency, the waitress even had the audacity to sound surprised and annoyed about all that we just said. Too add on top of the bad things so far is that their payment method is not very flexible. It may be a minor inconvenience, but they do not always accept split payment of the bill among all the diners in the group. They instead prefer the table’s bill paid in full by one card. I can’t think right now of any other place that does that, or at least, I believe that not a lot of restaurants practice that payment method the same way.

I came here for breakfast with my family after being treated to a take out from this place, and boy was I not disappointed. This is a traditional Korean restaurant, with "raised floor" where you need to take off your shoes to eat while sitting cross-legged. But there are also traditional table-desk if you want a general dining experience. The ceiling is high on front side of the restaurant, which makes the experience more spacious. As for the food, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (that we tried) is good. From side dishes, which there are plenty (and you can order more for free), to tea (Bo Ri Cha [rice tea]), and finally the meal themselves, were the best I've had in any Korean restaurant I've been to. The portions were large enough that we had to take out the leftovers. The meal themselves came out quickly (~5 minutes?), and the waitress was relatively attentive and friendly. Now given all these positives, you might be expecting an exorbitant prices - and you would be wrong. For some reasons unbeknownst to me, the average price for a dish is around $11~12, TAXES INCLUDED. And the place is open for 24 hours. If there is one thing that I wasn't too keen on was at the entrance there were bunch of dirty boxes which dampened the initial impression. But inside the restaurant was clean, which was great to see. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to enjoy Korean meal.

Huh Ga Ne is a 24 hr Korean restaurant located near Finch and Yonge area if you're ever needing some place to go for late night munchies. Coming into the restaurant, there is a choice of the regular seats or the ones where you have to sit on the floor. Opting for a difference experience, we went for the floor seats. You'll have to take off your shoes before getting onto the platform, and there are mats under the table for you to sit on. If you're in for a different experience, then I'll recommend these seats, however they can get a bit uncomfortable as the tables are low and you have to make leg room for yourself. There is a good selection of Korean food in their menu, and all the prices include taxes which is convenient if you don't want to calculate everything. Speed wise, the food came very fast; probably a minute or 2 after we ordered. We got: - Pork bone soup ($12): It's pretty good if you are having cravings for it, and it includes a good portion of big pieces. However, taste wise, it was pretty standard. What I mean is that it tasted pretty much like every other Korean restaurant, but if I compared to Cho Sun Ok's soup, I definitely wasn't as addicted. I was able to stop drinking the soup here, but at Cho Sun Ok, I couldn't stop. The service overall was very good as our servers were attentive when we needed to order; and had manners as well.

There’s only like 2 waitresses that’s really nice at this place but the rest are rude... worst customer service ever! Especially the guy at the front.. he’s the manager. It’s true what they say.. if management sucks, the staff will suck. I feel bad for the good ones working for him. Menu.. everything translated to English is so inaccurate. There’s a few items that has the exact same description but the words in Korean is different. Theres bbq, with sauce and the other is cooked in soup. How would we know which one is which? No one knows English to explain anything. We wanted bbq steak where we have to cook it ourselves under “table cooking”. When the food came out, it was already in sauce and soup. We called the manager over and he didn’t understand anything. We told him that’s not what we wanted. We wanted the bbq one. He said it’s all different “look”.. he told us to look at the menu.. we did.. description is all the same for all 3 items.. he kept saying it’s different.. Long story short, he was rude and forced us to eat it. My girlfriend couldn’t handle what we ordered, she said it was too sweet. She was forced to order something else that she knows she likes. I had to force myself to finish the food.. keep in mind this serves two people. In the end.. if you’re not Korean, be prepared to receive bad service.
