I went in last Friday for a late nite slice and asked for a veggie. They were all out of them so they suggested I wait 5-7mins while they make one for me. I agreed and sat on their bench. The owner served me the slice and I asked for some red pepper flakes. He sprinkled some on and asked if I wanted some fresh grated parmesan also; I said YES! In my haste, or maybe because my hands were full with the huge slice and can of Brio, I forgot my wallet on the counter. I did not realize this until I got home and panicked for a moment. Then I backtracked what I’d done and where I’d been the last hour that required the use of my wallet. I googled IL PADRE’s GOURMET PIZZA and called. The owner answered by saying: “Hi Johnny” and I felt a sense of relief knowing he’d found my wallet. He told me to drive back and pick it up. I returned to the store and he handed me my wallet, showing me that it was as I left it and told me the story of what’d occured while we were parted. I thanked him profusely and gave him some money to cover the next three customer’s slices of whoever comes by. I knew the food is excellent and always overflowing with ingredients and extras, yet this time I was made aware what kind and honest human beings IL PADRE’s are as well. Much Love and continued success in our community with...
Read moreOne of the best pizzas in Toronto, and here is why:
This family-owned pizza place has been in business for over 20 years, and they are still popular all these years. They always have customers from morning to evening - this speaks to the fact of how good their food is. They always have fresh produce and make their dough every day. In addition, their prices are very affordable; I don't know any other pizza place that can give you such high-quality food at this price.
If there was a way to eat pizza every night and stay healthy and fit, I would eat there every day of the week. I tried almost every pizza flavor there, and my favorite is Pesto Pizza - I highly recommend it, especially if you ask to add some mushrooms and olives. I also suggest you call them 15-20 minutes before coming to pick it up.
I wish this place to expand and grow so that more people would try their...
Read moreLittle family owned shop Very nice people but you can very clearly see sanitation is not a thing here. Touching cell phones and then the pizza without washing hands. Hanging clothes up outside then comes inside to serve and no hand washing.. As a paying customer if I ask for my slice to not be warmed up too hot I expect my request to be granted and not told "it's not hot enough" I often have slices left over from the previous day or if ordering a pepperoni and all they Have is cheese they will just throw pepperoni on top of the cheese slice and heat it up. The peps are then not cooked properly. Also having my slices cut like this is pretty sad. The inside is not very customer friendly. The same 1 person table and bench that is never clean. The door is always open in the summer and the inside is swarmed with...
