I really wanted to love it, but it only deserves a 2.5 star review. Read on for a full breakdown:
Zesty Mexican Bowl: it smelled really good, but the rice was undercooked, the sauce is quite citrusy already, didn’t need the extra lime on the side. Poke Bowl: ordered with chicken instead of tuna. This one was not bad! Portions were alright but it was hella expensive. If I remove tuna (aka the more expensive protein), and sub it in with a less expensive protein, why do I have to pay more? Butternut Squash soup: honestly, nothing special. Could definitely taste the ginger kick. Moxies has way better quality and taste. There was almonds on this, which didn’t feel like it fit well. Also wish they had given me a small packet of black pepper. It came with a piece of bread which was harder than my head. Tomato + Feta Toast: don’t waste your money on this. The serving was TINY for the price and everything was thin - the toast was thin, the layer of avocado was thin, the amount of feta was little. The only thing that was good was the generous amount of sprouts. Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie: the only amazing thing on this menu. Texture was perfect, the sides were crispy. Chocolate melted in your mouth, decadent and gooey. So satisfying! We got the BOGO deal, so it was worth it. Otherwise I would not pay $5 for a cookie that’s only the size of my palm.
We ordered on Uber Eats, so unfortunately we couldn’t “send it back to the kitchen”.
Overall, the only thing I would reorder is the cookie only if it’s on special. Nothing else is worth...
Read moreTypically my partner picks up my smoothies and I don’t usually write reviews but I decided to stop by on my walk through the village last week. It was my first time here and there were many issues, starting with the terrible service I received when I walked in. I was standing by the counter waiting to order and an employee with a beard was making coffee. He looked at me, smirked and continued to ignore me. I was standing there for a couple minutes before finally realizing the order station was further down (my bad, but the barista could have let me know and there wasn’t anyone standing at the register either). I ordered the ‘restore’ smoothie to go which took almost 15 minutes to make despite it not being busy. I had to remind the staff about my order and they didn’t even apologize for the wait.
When I finally received my smoothie, it wasn't cold and there were clumps of gritty, unblended almond butter almost every other sip which ruined the drink. I would’ve gone back but I really didn't have the time to waste. Funnily enough it only took them about 5 minutes to make my drink after I reminded them, so it just seemed like they were ignoring my order and prioritizing the sit down and Uber orders until I finally reminded them and they rushed it which was why it wasn’t good. Paying $10 for a smoothie should mean decent service and food quality. Very disappointing and won’t be returning to...
Read moreI’ve loved coming to the Lib Village Impact location for many years - it’s big and bright and they are always so kind behind the counter with great healthy foods. However the last year I’ve been inside the restaurant multiple times while the manager and team are having private business related meetings there and it’s super awkward and unprofessional. I haven’t been trying to listen but it’s impossible to ignore when it’s happening right in front of you. I’ve listened to employees complaining to their manager about workplace efficiency and disrespect during shifts, upper managers berating staff for meeting sales targets and wasting food and product, staff discussions about hours and availability and on one really uncomfortable occasion one member of staff being very rude to another with their laptop out and saying “what is even the point of us selling anything if you’re over ordering and not doing your job”. I wanted to melt into the chair. I understand you have a business to run but please take your KPI’s and internal workings away from me trying to enjoy your products. And if you have no choice but to do it in the dining area at least be nice and respectful - the way I’ve heard the staff being spoken to has literally made me lose my appetite...
