I had an absolute amazing experience with Carnaby's! With this being my first time designing and purchasing an engagement ring, I had very little knowledge of diamonds, precious metals, etc. I learned very quickly how vulnerable this left me and how some jewelers can take advantage of this - which only added stress of such an important and special purchase. I had heard very good things about Carnaby's so I decided to setup an appointment. From the minute I walked in and met Geoff, he was different than all the other jewelers I met previously. He was very patient, took his time to explain things in detail, asked questions to thoroughly understand my vision and offered his expert advice for further considerations that would make it even better. You could see and feel that he not only loves his profession but genuinely wants to surpass his customers expectations. In the end, he was able to work within my budget and aggressive timeline to create and deliver a gorgeous diamond ring that went beyond my expectations! The best part was seeing the look on my (now) fiancé's face when I presented it to her. We also get stopped by strangers all the time when we are out and about that compliment her ring. I had a custom lab grown diamond engagement ring made by Geoff at Carnaby's this past fall and the experience couldn't have been better. I shopped around at a few different places but ultimately chose Geoff because he was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He gave me a thorough explanation of how diamonds are classified and showed me examples of different quality stones so I knew exactly what to expect. I never felt pressured at all to go too big or exceed my budget.

Carnaby's also had the best access to lab grown diamonds that I found - other shops will buy a few lab grown stones that they can get a deal on and your selection is limited to what they have in stock. Geoff was able to start with my specifications and find the best possible diamond for my budget, and even ended up getting a higher quality stone than he initially quoted. He also kept me involved and up to date as he was designing the ring, sending me CAD designs I was able to review and was more than happy to receive feedback and incorporate any changes to the design along the way.

The ring is beautiful and my fiancee gets complimented on it all the time. Would happily recommend...

When sending my ring in for resizing there was a bit of a delay in receiveing it back in the time I was originally promised. Having an emotional attachment to my ring, Geoff understood and empathized with my anxieties. Although he didn't have to, he did not charge me for my resizing and offered me a complimentary gift for the delay. He was in constant communication with me to inform me on the status of my ring. I was so blown away. Considering I had a negative experience in the past with another jewellery sizer, Carnaby's handled this situation the way I imagine customer service should be handled!

My ring itself was sized perfectly (they used proper tools for measurement--not like the previously place I had been to!). My ring was also difficult to size due to its dainty shape, and I can't believe how well and comfortable it fits!
