I needed sweets for a family Xmas dinner & saw the Koreatown store had the only Isabella store that had Dec25 hours for pickup. I went to the store weekend before Xmas q& asked the store associate if they were open Christmas. The associate assured me they were. I made a $45 online purchase of a dozen donuts for Dec25 afternoon pick up. Dec 23 I receive a call canceling my order as the store would be closed Dec 25. I phoned the Koreatown store to inquire when I would receive my refund. The response was 5 business days. Having not received a refund, I phoned the # on the website (Queen St store), & the person there said it takes 5 TO 10 business days. It's now PAST 10 business days with no refund in my account. The IG DM just regurgitated the same info that I see when I look up my order online, I.e. refund issued on Dec 23. There is no offer of follow up re. the delay. The service is really poor. They are not interested in building good relationships with their customers. Their donuts are very hit & miss. Thank goodness Patisserie Royale was open Dec 25 - reliable, quality, customer service oriented. Isabella's in Koreatown has been a disappointment. Never going back as I just got cheated out of $45!!! Caution to the public to not count on this business as they publish false hours AND they cannot be trusted to honour online purchases / refunds. I'm still waiting for a refund & it's been more than 10 business...

Several times I have gone during hours of operation and been told that NO product has been delivered, so there is nothing to purchase.
More importantly, despite having a relatively large storefront, big enough to fit at least a few small tables, the business remains shabby & unfurnished. While this may have been acceptable during the pandemic, it now looks odd and is uncomfortable to not have a place to be able to enjoy their delicious donuts in the shop. It's additionally irritating because I know from being in the restaurant business myself this is most likely a result of cutting corners/avoid additional costs operating a dine-in restaurant involves (ex., installing washrooms).
Despite a great product, I'll most likely be taking my business to the dozen other places in Koreatown that offer a seat with my...
Read moreA friend sent me a six-pack as a gift knowing that I love mochi goods but it was a bit underwhelming, unfortunately (if that friend reads this, I truly appreciate the gesture and I'm so so sooo sorry; it's not you, it's me). In isolation, the donut itself is not great. It tastes bland, with a bit of a oily/cheap aftertaste. The icing ranges from too sweet to too artificial. The mochi itself isn't very present in the donuts and is not that pleasant. The donut needs to be fixed and to be more firm to appreciate the texture of the mochi, the icing shouldn't be that jarring to distract from the texture of the mochi, and the mochi itself should constitute a bit more of the donut. I'm sad, y'all. Truly heartbroken. My favourite mochi places are too far and/or have closed down, so I was hoping this...
