Five stars for food, five stars for coffee, zero star for customer service. Background story: we have been weekly repeating customers ever since their opening, and they have a loyalty card where after 10 stamps, you get a free drink, and they have been good with honouring it so far. We are on our 3rd stamp card already with 9 stamps on it. Also we would have had more stamps than that but there was a month or so they ran out of blank cards. Today we walked in a ordered our usual large drip coffee ($2.5) and a cappuccino ($3.5). We assumed that one drink would fill the last stamp needed and the other one would be for free. The cashier or owner soon told me that I needed to pay for the more expensive drink. I asked him why can’t I pay for the cheaper one since the card never had any minimum purchase requirements or maximum redeeming requirements, he simply told me I can’t do it today. Not wanting to make a huge fuss I ended up paying for both drinks and decided to save it for later. Upon leaving, I tried to suggest to him that it would better business practice to honour your loyalty card and your repeating customer than to fuss over $1. He then straight up told me it’s common sense to pay for the more expensive drink. Well maybe it is common sense for a buy one get one free situation but definitely not for a buy 10 get 1 situation. Wow. Okay I guess $1 over one purchase worth more to him than repeating customers satisfaction. If you are a repeating customer like us then be ready to be...

Cute, clean, cafe near the Bloor and Bathurst area (pretty much across the street from Snakes and Lattes). They caught my attention with their bahn mi (aka Vietnamese sandwich) sign on the street. I went in and got 2 char siu bbq pork bahn mi (almost $10 each) and 2 matcha pandan lattes (about $4.50 each but I wanted non-dairy milk so mine cost a little more - you can choose oat or soy milk). It took about 10 minutes for my order to come out.

The bahn mi was fantastic. The meat was nice and warm and they didn't skimp on the bbq pork. Every bite had a nice portion of bbq pork and the flavour of the standard veggies was delicious and legit. The matcha pandan latte was also very good (light and creamy). My partner had never tried bahn mi before (but they love bbq pork) and they liked their sandwich a lot.

Rustle and Still also has pastries for sale, and other coffee/tea accessories if you're looking to buy anything. Once covid restrictions lift, it would be nice to sit in here and have lunch (lots of plants and window space with natural light).

For anyone that has mobility issues, you do have to climb up some stairs to get to the cafe.

Will definitely stop by again to try their garlic shrimp bahn mi next time and I'm very curious about their vegan mushroom and tofu bahn mi with mushroom and walnut pâté (I love meat pâté in general and I want to see how vegan pâté would compare)

Overall, it was a tasty lunch and we were happy to support a small...

The cafe has a homey space for customers with lots of natural light and live plants. There is a good amount of seating capacity considering they are a relatively cozy sized cafe, although it does get busy.

They have interesting Viet- and asian-inspired drinks and snacks that you won’t find in most places.

I was hungry and asked the lady at the counter if they had breakfast sandwiches and she recommended this croissant sandwich that seems to be inspired from banh mi sandwiches. It had ham, pâté, cucumber, tomato, and egg. It was ready pretty quickly and the lady brought it to my table. My only criticism is that it is on the greasier side, but otherwise it hit the spot and was quite filling.

You can have their latte drinks hot or iced, and they have a variety of alternative dairy options for those of us who are more lactose challenged.

I also had a pandan matcha latte. It had a good pandan taste which was refreshing because it’s not a flavour I often come across at other places.

I also tried their purple sweet potato latte which was nice, light, and had a good texture from the steamed milk without being excessively frothy. The sweet potato added to it gave the drink overall a good body and an interesting kind of grainy texture which tasted fresh and natural.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and it’s a nice space to hang out. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, or making the trip there even if you’re not...

viet iced coffee with coconut milk? Glad I tried it. Coffee tasted good, but I still prefer the condensed milk. And the coffee could have tasted the best when it is done the traditional way I guess, using a phin. Service was excellent and place is cozy.
