How often do you come across a restaurant with some exceptional Indian food? Rarely so in Toronto 🇨🇦📍

Namaste India is one of those. When we interacted with the owner, it was apparent how passionate they are about bringing alive the flavours of North India. 🙏🏻🇮🇳

This is a heaven for any Delhi foodie. Everything from tandoori sizzlers to momos, chicken and paneer gravies, and naans, instantly transport you to the best food streets of Delhi! And what's more? They serve beer & wine that pairs beautifully with curries and starters, and are starting live music very soon! ✨

Our gastronomic ride began with tandoori and malai chicken, and mutton kebab sizzlers. Imagine the softest meat marinated in desi flavours served hot on a sizzling platter! Could you ask for a better start to your evening? Well, we couldn't stop there, and got served some nice round tandoori momos - butter chicken and vegetarian. Tandoori momos are a rage in North India for their saucy twist to steamed ones, and Namaste India successfully recreates that. It deserves all the attention. I personally liked the vegetarian version better.

Hold on, we haven't started with the mains. Methi Chaman Paneer was such a surprise delight - just the right amount of leafy, creamy with succulent chunks of paneer hidden inside. It's not the conventional curry you order, but this one is highly recommended. Couple it with crispy flaky Punjabi Ghee Kulcha and Mango Lassi and you are all set. We couldn't leave without trying the Butter Chicken, and that's what we did. Sweet and tangy, the gravy was a smooth comforting addition to the menu. Chili garlic naan was the apt choice to dip it in, and relish tender chicken. Chicken Biryani was humble and served in good portions. Something good for rice lovers.

We filled ourselves up to the brim and couldn't try the desserts. There's definitely a next time with this one. Till then, Namaste and...

Ordered take out via Uber. Lamb biryani and chicken madras. Ordered on the app twice accidentally with the same items. One order was cancelled when I realized it and one order was completed with lamb biryani and chicken madras. Honest mistake. Called Uber eats support and they let me know it’s up to the restaurant only to offer credit or gift card. Lady who I spoke with was not understanding as well to offer credit. When I called back a hour later and after calling Uber eats support that I will pick up the items since the charge went through for my cancelled order she said that’s not possible and that she already threw out the entire second order. She was not understanding nor friendly.

In addition, there were only 3 small pieces of meat in the biryani and very little meat in the chicken madras. Never ordering from here again.

If restaurant cared for its customers they would see the name on the order and see that it was the same person that ordered the SAME items on both orders back to back. Before throwing away the items.. at least call the customer and check before throwing it out since the order was already charged in full! This was a honest mistake. Show compassion...

i like to pride myself on eating and trying lots of different Indian restaurants so when i find one that i think is incredibly delicious, i feel i’ve hit the jackpot! i was browsing ubereats trying to find an indian place and Namaste popped up! figured i’d give it a try. i typically eat butter chicken but i’m trying to limit my meat intake. i was looking for a dish that was essentially the same thing, sans meat. i read a few different dishes (TONS of delicious sounding options) and i settled on paneer makhani! anyone looking for something similar to butter chicken but without the meat, this is the dish you HAVE to try! the portion was incredible, and the taste was even better. i also ordered the garlic naan, another MUST TRY (they have a few different kinds which i’m sure are equally as amazing.) i wish i had taken pictures of my food but alas, i ate it way too quickly to have thought of that. i would highly recommend this place to ANYONE! vegetarian or not! plenty of options either way. i will absolutely be ordering from here again and can’t wait to introduce people to this fantastic spot! 10/10 would...

Had a lively group dinner last weekend here for the first time. The dishes were large and great for sharing. I ordered the palak paneer and butter naan with pickles. The palak was creamy with lots of panner, so flavourful and well spiced if you like things hot ;) The side pickles were pretty salty and spicy so order it if that's you're thing. My friend order the chili garlic chicken mild and it was very tender and tasty as a main. Our other friend ordered a fantastic paneer Tikka masala that came on a sizzling hot plate. Tasted mild but cooked to perfect. Not a fan of the chai, low on spice, but the lassi looked thick and amazing. Great service and 100% would reccomend this place for vegetarians or those looking to widen their tastes beyond butter chicken✌🏼

I previously enjoyed the food from this restaurant when ordering through Uber Eats, so we decided to visit in person for takeout. We ordered naan, butter chicken, goat biryani (with bone), and tandoori chicken—some of our favourites from last time, plus a few extras. Unfortunately, the quality wasn’t as great this time, but what really disappointed us was finding a hair in the biryani. When we called to inform them, their response was that it was made fresh to order, but they only apologized and said they’d notify the kitchen, without offering any resolution. Definitely not the kind of service we expected, and we will definitely not be coming back.
