I ordered Chungchun Combo 1 which includes: -Gamsung Hotdog, -Ramen Chip Hotdog, -Sweet Potato Hotdog, -Squid Ink Cheese Hotdog.

Dipping sauces: ketchup, mustard, sweet mayonnaise, bbq, honey mustard.

Appearance: 5/5⭐️ Combo 1 box comes with 4 unique hotdogs. Large in size, they are generously coated in variety of batters, and fried till they are crispy outside and chewy on the inside. Be prepared to take big bites!

Smell: 3.5/5⭐️ Smells just as you would expect! Pleasant fresh deep fried aroma, but not much variation between the different flavour hotdogs, they all smell the same.

Taste: 3.5/5⭐️ Not a lot of variety taste wise when you bite into the hotdogs. I found that all the sausage tastes exactly the same despite them saying it’s made with different kind of sausages for each hotdog. The only unique tastes were with ramen hotdog with the fried noodle taste, sweet potato had a nice hint of sweetness although it was soggy. The squid ink did not have any off taste, the coating was good. The other potato hotdog was not very unique and more on a bland side.

Texture: 4.5/5⭐️ Each hotdog had a unique bite and texture to it. -Gamsung(potato) hotdog with beef & chicken sausage-Outside coating was not very crispy in this hotdog, the potatoes were a bit on a mushy side. But the inside was chewy. -Ramen Chip hotdog with beef sausage-Outside coating was extra crispy from the ramen, quite a unique texture when you bite into it. Crispy yet bouncy and chewy inside. -Sweet Potato hotdog with beef & chicken sausage- This hotdog was very similar in bite and texture to the Gamsung potato hotdog. Both had mushy coating from the potatoes being too soft, the inside was still chewy. -Squid Ink Cheese with beef sausage- this hotdog was one of the best in this combo box! Delicious perfect crispy coating, with just the perfect amount of chewiness and crispiness. When you bite into it you also get a little bit of both cheese & sausage. The perfect bite! Squid ink does not alter or change the flavour, in fact it’s more for the visual colour aspect of the hotdog.

Temperature: 4.5/5⭐️ I have ordered this through Uber eats, food was delivered proper temperature. But nothing beats getting them fresh in store!

Flavour: 4/5⭐️ If you’re not sure which hotdogs to choose, I suggest you try the combo 1. It has just enough variety, and the flavours are unique to each hotdog. Although the sweet potato and Gamsung were extremely similar, one was just a bit on a sweeter side. Ramen hotdog was just as you’d expect, extra crispy with regular fried noodle taste. And lastly squid ink did not alter the flavour of the hotdog at all.

Price: 3/5⭐️ Price for the combo 1 (4 hotdogs) is 29$ plus tax on Uber. (In my case I also paid +Uber delivery fee). My total came up to $40.45 which is very-very pricy for the amount of food and the variety you are getting. In my opinion the Squid ink + Ramen hotdogs were the most worth it, as two of the potato hotdogs tasted identical and were both not cooked properly (both had extra mushy exterior and same flavour profile). Price would be more justified if the selection of hot dogs you get in the combo were more versatile and unique. As well as Id have hoped to have them all cooked to perfection~not crispy on the outside, with hot...

After hearing about this famous corn dog place for what seemed like forever, my friends and I finally decided to give it a try. While we weren't entirely convinced by the hype surrounding it, we did find that it offered a satisfying snack experience with plenty of flavor and variety.

Upon arrival, we were immediately drawn to the extensive selection of corn dog options. With so many choices available, it's easy to find something that suits your taste preferences. We opted for the double cheese and ramen corn dogs. However, our excitement waned slightly when we realized that the double cheese corn dog wasn't as cheesy as we had anticipated. It's possible that we misunderstood the description, expecting an explosion of cheese, but that wasn't the case. Despite the slight disappointment, the ramen corn dog stood out with its unique twist, and the dog itself was tasty and well-prepared.

While the corn dogs were enjoyable, I can't say they were an extraordinary culinary experience. Yes, they were flavorful, but I couldn't help but feel that there was something missing. Perhaps our expectations were set too high due to the place's reputation. That being said, the wide range of options available does provide a sense of adventure and experimentation, making it a suitable destination for those who appreciate variety.

In terms of overall quality, the corn dogs were good, but not outstanding. They certainly make for a great snack, especially if you're in the mood for something quick and filling. However, I wouldn't consider them a must-try or an experience that would leave a lasting impression.

Despite not fully living up to the hype, this corn dog place does have its merits. If you're in the area and craving a convenient and flavorful snack, it's worth a visit. Just keep your expectations in check and explore the different options available to find the ones that suit your taste...

i was out for a walk earlier today and got a random craving for korean corn dogs. i searched for places around me and picked the top option: chungchun rice dog! this place has multiple locations and each has more than 4.5 stars and TONS of positive reviews! this location (615 bloor street) has a rating of 4.7 and i definitely see why! it was my first time here and the covid restrictions and protocols they had in place were easy to follow and felt safe! you go inside to order, take your number and wait outside until your number appears on the digital screen! as i mentioned, i had never been here previously and the staff were SO polite and SUPER helpful! i asked a bunch of questions and they were super friendly and patient. there was a long line when i arrived and although it wasn’t the fastest service, everything was hot, fresh and delicious! i am going to assume because of how busy it was, and how long it takes to “fry/cook” a corn dog, i am sure this contributed to my wait time. not a complaint! i’m just warning you, if you come here, don’t be in a rush! especially if there are people waiting ahead of you. this time i ordered: the double cheese dog, mozzarella dog, ramen dog, rice cake dog and volcano dog! every single one was delicious and i would order it again and 10/10 recommend this place, and any of the corn dogs i tried, to anybody! i will definitely be back and can’t wait to tell everyone about this spot! thank you!! keep up the exceptional quality and customer service :) keep doing what...
