Very rude customer Service, when busy not oraganized at all, no one takes care of the people waiting in line, no one tells you to wait in line, you just stand and wait there and hope someone would talk to you, theres no manager running the place, each one of the servers tells you a different thing.

I go in there ( after no one spoke to me for a couple of minutes) i ask Chef Halil how long is the wait he says 10 mins, i stand there waiting for like 10 mins , a rude and unprofesdional guy from the staff comes and asks me if I am first in line I told him no these people they were waiting before me ( at that point i did not know this was the line)he says rudely the line at the back , i go there and wait again although now there was more people in the line, but i wait , another 10 mins its my turn now. The unprofessional guy suddenly mentions only reservations can sit inside and walk ins outside, i tell him why you didnt mention it before,( i didnt want to eat outside) his smart answer was do you expect me to ask people to be faster to leave who are sitting on the tables , i tell him offcourse not i will just wait but you should have mentioned earlier. ( if i knew from the beginning walkins must sit outside i would have left) anyways Chef Halil comes back in trying to help and says he'll get us a table ( we were three) , i wait maybe another 5 or 10 mins, Chef Halil finds a table asks us to sit , Mr unprofessional doesnt like it and gets upset and starts waving for us to leave, because this table is reserved, although Chef Halil was telling him that it is ok and was trying to find a solution, Mr unprofessional was upset and insisted we must leave the table in a really unprofessional way and should wait back in line, anyways after a short talk with both of them I left . After this i would not enjoy my experience and i didnt want to eat there against the unprofessional guys will or anybodys will. The experience will only get worse.

In conclusion if you decide to come here, and you can deal well with tension and negative energy, you can go eat there. If not thats not the place for you.

Ive discovered this place early this summer , and ive been coming almost every other week and introduced my friends and family to this place, this time i was with two new friends too, anyways i will not be back here and i will make sure my friends are not back here too , and thank God for all the competetion from the other Turkish restaurants that are opening , because imagine how would the staff treat you if this was the only Turkish restaurant...

Koz Bingol: An Odyssey of Turkish Delights! Step into a portal of vibrant Turkish flavors at Koz Bingol! From the moment I crossed the threshold, the warm atmosphere, with its cozy decor and lively music, instantly transported me. But the true magic unfolded on my plate (and in my cup!).

The service was exceptional. Friendly, attentive staff patiently guided me through the menu, offering recommendations with genuine warmth. I felt like I was visiting family, welcomed with open arms.

The appetizers were a delightful prelude to the feast: fresh, welcoming, and beautifully presented, leaving my palate dancing in anticipation. Then came the main event, and oh boy, did it not disappoint!

The lamb ribs were a revelation. Tender beyond belief, their flavor sang with each bite, expertly accented by a divine sauce I couldn't stop myself from savoring. And the chef's special minced kebob? Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, it was a masterpiece in itself.

But wait, there's more! The salad was no mere afterthought. A vibrant tapestry of colors and textures, bursting with fresh ingredients and tossed in a light, zesty dressing, it perfectly complemented the richness of the kebabs. Portions were generous, ensuring I left both satisfied and happy.

The exceptional pistachio baklava was the perfect sweet ending. Each flaky layer yielded a symphony of textures and flavors, culminating in a satisfying crunch and a burst of nutty goodness. And to top it all off, the traditional Turkish tea was a soothing, flavorful finale to a truly memorable meal.

Finding convenient parking was a pleasant bonus, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.

Honestly, everything about Koz Bingol was excellent. The vibrant atmosphere, the exceptional service, and the delicious, authentic food all combined to create an unforgettable dining experience. I'll definitely be back for more, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a taste of Turkish magic in Toronto.

The reasonable prices are just the icing on the baklava, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.

Five stars all around! This restaurant is a must-try for anyone who loves good food, excellent service, and a touch of Turkish charm.

P.S. Lamb lovers, the ribs are a must-have! And don't forget to save room for the exceptional pistachio baklava and the soothing...

I have been to the other Turkish restaurant Kebab 49 located right across the road, and decided to try Koz Bingol. Few unpleasant things stood out right away for me. The table we were given apparently was just cleaned and was all wet. The plate was chipped. I wanted to ask the server to replace it but then decided against it, mainly, because the expression on the server's face was such, like she openly hated her job. I tried to cheer her up for a smile but was unsuccessful. Well... maybe she had a bad day after all but as a customer I would feel better knowing that my server is happy to see me there. That definitely was not the case. Finally, I think this was the only place of all the restaurants I have been to that didn't have drinking water. They could only offer bottled water. Why? This question remains unanswered. As for the food, I have no complains. The food was good, pretty much on par with what I had at Kebab 49. But then again... The server brought the food, silently put it on the table and disappeared. Didn't come to ask if the food was good. Actually, didn't come at all. I had to wave her afterwards to ask for the bill. In my opinion, and I have been to a number of restaurants before, if you are a server and expect to receive a good tip (that I know is important for the server), you have to earn it. If you just do a favor by serving your customers without a smile, even a "duty" one, and don't care how they feel about food and service, don't expect to get what you didn't earn. Bottom line: in the highly competitive restaurant business with abundance of Turkish and Persian restaurants in North York and Thornhill it is important to give the customer your best effort. Otherwise, they will go somewhere else, and this what I will probably do next time I have a craving for Middle...

Köz Bingol: 01-30-23 1/5 Much is left to be desired of this establishment in comparison with its predecessor, Kebab Time. Between the quality of food, service, atmosphere and the design of the dishes, it was certainly a disappointment in light of making considerations for the money spent. The service here is neither attentive nor speedy. Our waitress was never in sight when we were either ready to order or to inevitably pay. We almost had to get up from our table to search for someone to ask for our bill had a different staff member not come around to our section. It was disappointing to also find out that they charge for water. The menu advertised complimentary tea- that never came to our table, but it was served to others. When it came to serving Turkish-speaking customers, however, the staff here are very eager. If one is not Turkic, they should not anticipate speedy or decent service. They will find themselves often ignored or faced with timidity and attitude. Gastronomically, the kebab plates need a better design. For $32.99 per plate, one would hope for 2 skewers of lamb, not 1. The bulgur was very nice. Every other element was amiss. The menu did not describe that HOT peppers were served… had one been sensitive or unaware, it could’ve gone badly. The tomatoes were not at all roasted. They had been placed on the grill for perhaps a seconds and were still raw. Beyond all else to be perplexed by, it was the raw onion julienne on the plate. It had no place and didn’t contribute to the dish’s structure at all. The traditional flatbreads are without error and are well-made. Beyond this, there is much to be desired from this establishment. Summarily, I will say that Kebab Time will be missed. Köz Bingol has much work to do in order to live up to the great reputation of its predecessor.

I drive past this place often, but for one reason or another I hadn’t stopped by to eat there. On this day, I saw their patio looking lively and the mood for middle eastern food was there. I was very impressed by the humus platter with other dips; although I was told the bread is not freshly made at the restaurant. Freshly baked bread is one of my favourite things, and that’s one reason why I have high esteem for places like Paramount, Me va Me, etc… despite not being freshly baked the bread was pretty good. It wasn’t just a super market pita put in the microwave which is honestly what I was kinda expecting based on my interaction with the server. Ohh the server(s) this is where the experience just went downhill. These guys all didn’t speak English, either that or they are antisocial. Actually, I don’t think they are antisocial because when other men who spoke their same language would pop up to the patio they would chat and laugh. The thing was they would also light up cigarettes and smoke, which is probably part of the culture, but since my daughter was with me, it wasn’t cool to be breathing second hand smoke from the workers and their pals. I really think it was a cultural thing because they seemed attentive to the people who spoke their language but every time we needed something from them it was like pulling teeth. This is another reason I only gave the atmosphere 2 stars, because I didn’t really feel welcome and looked after there. Finally when it came to the food, the humus platter top notch, even comes with a side salad. The meat platter, mediocre. The chicken was undercooked and the rest of the dishes were nothing special. Humus platter all the way, and I would go back for that and the Turkish coffee knowing that I won’t expect any service.
