As a fervent lover of Vietnamese cuisine, I’ve traversed the culinary landscape in search of the perfect bowl of pho, and my quest led me to the enchanting haven known as Pho Haven. Nestled in the heart of the city, this gem of a restaurant beckoned me with promises of authentic flavors and unparalleled dining experiences. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a gastronomic journey that would tantalize my taste buds and nourish my soul.
Upon stepping into Pho Haven, I was immediately enveloped in a warm ambiance that evoked the bustling streets of Hanoi. The aroma of simmering broth and fragrant herbs wafted through the air, heightening my anticipation for the culinary delights that awaited me. The decor, adorned with traditional Vietnamese motifs and elegant lanterns, transported me to a realm where every detail was meticulously crafted to capture the essence of Vietnamese culture.
Seated at my table, I perused the extensive menu, which offered an impressive array of pho variations, each more enticing than the last. From the classic Pho Ga (chicken pho) to the indulgent Pho Bo Wagyu (Wagyu beef pho), every option beckoned with promises of savory delights. After much deliberation, I settled on the Pho Dac Biet, a signature combination of thinly sliced beef, tender brisket, and succulent meatballs, served in a rich, aromatic broth infused with spices and herbs.
As I awaited the arrival of my steaming bowl of pho, I marveled at the attentiveness of the staff, who exuded genuine warmth and hospitality. Their passion for Vietnamese cuisine shone through in every interaction, from their enthusiastic recommendations to their eagerness to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.
Finally, the moment of truth arrived as my bowl of Pho Dac Biet was placed before me, a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship that surpassed all expectations. The first sip of the fragrant broth sent waves of comfort coursing through my veins, while the tender noodles and melt-in-your-mouth beef transported me to a realm of pure culinary bliss. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors, harmonizing perfectly to create a culinary masterpiece that danced on my palate.
But the journey didn’t end with the pho; Pho Haven had more delights in store. I couldn’t resist sampling their delectable array of appetizers, from the crispy spring rolls bursting with fresh herbs and vegetables to the succulent grilled pork skewers, perfectly charred and infused with smoky goodness.
As I reluctantly bid farewell to Pho Haven, my heart brimmed with gratitude for the unforgettable culinary experience that had unfolded before me. In a world where authenticity is often elusive, Pho Haven stood as a beacon of excellence, a testament to the timeless artistry of Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a curious novice, Pho Haven promises a culinary adventure like no other—a journey through the vibrant flavors and rich traditions of Vietnam that will leave you...
Read moreStopped by to get a takeout. At home I got an awesome surprise when found very neatly packed soups, all ingredients separately. Lots of very fresh basil, coriander. At the other restaurants they pack everything together, in cheap foam containers, which we can't stand. My daughter did not have to pick out onion from all mess, as she doesn't like it. At Pho Viet Express they thoughtfully pack this addition separately, in a little plastic bag! We were amazed with excellent quality and care. All waitresses are very nice and polite. The place is clean, even menu books are nice and clean, I usually get squeamish to touch those books. Oh! And those deep-fried springrolls - OMG!- are the best I ever tried! I'm so glad I found myself a favorite Pho place. I hope this place isn't going to be sold later on to the other management, cause these guys are doing an excellent A+++ job! The only little minus - no credit cards accepted. Last time my husband had to leave because of that. But I'm glad we came back to try...
Read morePho Viet Xpress has been my go-to pho place for more than a decade now. While there are some other great pho spots in/around the area, I just can't seem to get away from this one. The staff are very friend and extremely attentive. The restaurant is always clean and kept in great shape. But above all else, the food is really fantastic here. Their pho is quite easily my favourite anywhere in the city, but all their other dishes are just as much of must-try's. The Pad Thai here is probably the best I've had anywhere, as are the spring (and fresh) rolls, the chicken cutlets with fried rice, etc. Not to mention all their great drinks. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can tell that their ingredients are all very high quality. Sometimes it can get a bit full, and with Covid, I imagine waits might get a bit long, but it is absolutely worth waiting it out...
