This used to be one of my two favorite sushi spots in the area. Now, itâs the only one left on my top list.
I havenât told the other restaurant why I stopped going there, but I want to share the reason hereâmainly to remind this place to continue maintaining their high standards.
The other place was my go-to for a long time. But I started noticing that whenever I ordered something like the Green Dragon roll or Red Dragon roll, they would use salmon belly with the skin still attached. It always tasted really fishy.
One time, I asked the server why there was skin in the roll, and they told me that the good part of the salmonâlike the back meatâis used for sashimi, and the belly (with the skin) is used for the rolls. I found that explanation ridiculous.
I eat sushi more than seven times a month and have tried almost all the popular spots in the GTA. This is the only place Iâve seen do something like thatâwell, actually, there was one other place that did the same, and I only went there once for that exact reason.
Folks letâs support this one, let them continue practicing smiling service and good...
