A Scoop Above Kawartha Dairy Delivers on Creaminess and Flavour
A recent visit to Kawartha Dairy solidified its reputation as an upscale destination for ice cream and dairy lovers. While known for its wide array of treats.
Opting for their chocolate milk was a decision I didn't regret; it was genuinely some of the best I've ever tasted. The 2% fat content lent it a remarkable creaminess that elevated it beyond your average chocolate milk.
When it came to the main event – the ice cream – Kawartha Dairy certainly didn't skimp. I ordered a small cup, which, to my delight, came packed with two absolutely massive scoops. It’s clear they believe in generous portions here. I decided to try two flavours, and both were uniquely satisfying. The Coconut ice cream was a standout. It wasn't just a generic coconut flavour; it was wonderfully nuanced with lovely, distinct bits of toasted coconut scattered throughout, adding a delightful texture and depth. The Cookie Dough ice cream was equally impressive. It was generously loaded with plenty of cookie dough pieces, ensuring a satisfyingly chewy and chocolatey bite in nearly every spoonful. This wasn't one of those disappointing versions where you're left searching for the...
Read moreI'm going to start this review off negatively, so bear with me. I hate when people call people who make sandwiches "sandwich artists" . They are simply putting items on bread and then toasting or not toasting, it is not an art form. But when I walked in Kawartha Dairy on the Danforth. I was amazed, I was honored, I was blown away by the way that they stacked ice cream in there. My wife asked do you have to take a class to do this? The staff member said no. And then we thought to each other (telepathically) You can't just learn how to work at that level. You are eather born with it, or you make sandwiches. Every single flavor is amazing but I am especially fond of Moon Mist. An absolute Trifecta of amazingness, deliciousness and Banana. You have to see it for yourself. I challange you to order a 3 Scoop in a waffle cone. It's a masterpiece of art, dairy and physics. Did I mention that Kawartha is the best ice-cream ever. Stop reading reviews and go get some already.
P. S.
They also have local Ontario milks and cheeses. They have Dill cheese curds for the (in my opinion) The best...
Read moreI was visiting from Ottawa, as I was attending "The Lion King" theatre play, at "The Princess of Whales Theatre".
This was my first time eating at this Kawartha Dairy location and my second time overall visiting this chain of businesses.
The staff were very friendly and worked efficiently at greeting each customer. They were receptive and polite when my friend asked about any potential food allergies in a specific type of ice cream they served. The gentleman was very quick to get a booklet that had all the ingredients listed.
The overall establishment was very clean, especially considering how busy they were when we arrived. The washroom was particularly clean, which you don't see often these days.
I would recommend anyone visiting Toronto and looking for a sweet treat, to checkout this place, you will not be disappointed!
I will go back to this location next time I...
