After all these years, Danforth Dragon remains truly legendary.

The crispy ginger beef is still one of the best in the city, with a sweet-savoury crispy coating over tender beef. The shrimp fried rice is generous with the protein and tasty with the rice. The portion sizes can feed a flight of dragons. The prices remain reasonable, and the service remains quick. Overall, still a great spot to chow down. Original Review:

Holy Hakka, the crispy ginger beef is amazing!!! I've tried hakka a few times and the crispy ginger beef is my go-to test of how good it is. Gotta say, Danforth Dragon did not disappoint. The beef was crispy without being hard and jerky-like in texture, the garlic flavour really came through, and the overall taste was sweet/spicy-but-leaning-towards-sweet. Basically, checked all the things I look for in my crispy ginger beef.

Got also a few other things: Shrimp pakora: Pretty good! The coating wasn't too thick, shrimp-to-fillong ratio was fine, and while it was chewier than what I'm used to, that was actually a good thing. Singaporean noodles: A miss for me. I opened up the takeout container and smelled the curry and got so excited. Too bad the dish didn't live up to that initial smell. It wasn't bad, just a bit dry and would have wanted a slightly stronger curry taste. Mango lassi: Thick, yogurty, strong mango flavour.

I really enjoyed Danforth Dragon. And needless to say, if you do stop by, make sure to try the crispy...

Very clean, authentic and welcoming environment. Immediately addressed by the kind woman at the front with a warm smile and hello, with small conversation to acknowledge what we were celebrating, she promptly showed us to our table. (We even briefly mentioned it was cold out so she sat us at a table away from the breeze). Throughout our dining experience, all staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations tailored to our dietary preferences. The food was not only delicious but also clearly fresh, served in generous portions (with plenty of leftovers to take home). The combination of flavor, price, quality, and quantity ensures my return visits. Our needs were always taken care of before we even had to ask, always attention to detail despite working multiple roles. This restaurant was exceptionally clean, including the bathroom! This establishment exemplifies the outcome of resilience and dedication of family-run businesses, showcasing their passion through...

As you step through the doors, the vibrant and inviting ambiance envelops you, setting the stage for an evening of unparalleled sensory indulgence. The decor seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with nods to Hakka heritage, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and warmly familiar. The culinary mastery at Haka Haven is immediately evident in the menu, a carefully curated symphony of flavors that pays homage to the diverse regions of Hakka cuisine. Each dish is a work of art, meticulously crafted to showcase the bold, robust, and harmonious votes that define Hakka favors. To start the culinary journey, we sampled the Prawn Rangoon, a delicate dance of crispy perfection and succulent prawns enveloped in a subtle fusion of spices. The Dim Sum Platter followed suit, presenting an exquisite assortment that celebrated the intricacies of Haka dumplings, leaving us eager for what...

I’ve never had to do this, but I’m so dismayed with how the reviews here and on Uber Eats could be so misleading. Danforth Dragon was a huge disappointment. The General Tso chicken was unpalatable. Greasy, breaded, SOGGY, chicken with a nondescript sauce. The butter chicken was made with fatty cuts of what I think was chicken in an orange ketchup(?). The naan was not naan. It was stale pita and cool to the touch (even though wrapped in aluminum). When we realized that even the white rice was overcooked and unsalted we decided to call the restaurant. They were surprised and apologized that we didn’t like the food…what else could we expect them to say? We got our money back via Uber Eats. I had leftovers and my gf swallowed some white rice with some of the β€œketchup butter chicken sauce” 🀒

Was in the neighborhood and thought to ordered from this place due to good reviews, pleasant food pics and vibe. Ordered on 19th may. Got served overcooked and literally burnt chill chicken in takeout. Couldn't even chew and smelt like charcoal. Completely spoiled the dinner and the experience. Spoke with Ash the manager next day as they were closed on ordered day. He offered 50% refund rather than full refund in the name of company policy. I dont live in the neighborhood and to drive 35 km to get either 50% refund or to get something else for the equivalent price is a joke. Mentioned a complicated refund procedure if I wanted the refund back on Visa. So per the company policy, its okay to serve food which is burnt while protecting your employee/chef and screw the customer. Good going.

Was craving some good Indian-Chinese (Hakka here in Canada) & this place was absolutely amazing. Loved the meal & the service was even better. Quick. And courteous. The host was warm & felt like I wasn’t in Toronto for a bit (as the city and customer service don’t do well). If you’re in the food service business, the experience is worth just as much as how good the food is. Highly recommend the pork bbq fried rice. Fluffy and soft. Seasoned well. Chicken Pokara had the spices in them & were not bland (or just batter fried). Chilli chicken was good but may have been a little over cooked with the crunch or been out for a short while. Still flavourful nonetheless. Come to Greek town for some good Hakka! Really? Really!
