Tuesday., March 25: Ordered 3 piece chicken combo at 9:15 PM. Order was ready extremely quickly and, needless to say, was just OK. I thought they did batch cooking now? Also, chicken was too salty. Lowered standards on cheap Tuesdays will be bad for business.
Visited this location at 9 pm on Monday for dine in. We knew ahead that they were going to close at 10 pm.
Ordered at the kiosk but missed out on the two can dine for $20 promotional offer so there’s a disadvantage right there with using the self-serve. It also took forever to order at the kiosk, too many steps. It asks for email but I declined and it didn’t print a receipt so how do I know the kitchen has my order? The screen above the counter doesn’t tell me.
We ordered for dine-in but meal was bagged. When we asked about that the associate explained they don’t have trays. We sat down to eat only to realize we didn’t have cutlery or condiments. I went back (again realizing the restaurant is closing at 10 pm). The only utensils we were given were two wooden forks and ketchup packs. The associate explained this is a new city by-law or something. Customers have to ask. At the kiosk, I specifically said dine-in. I guess we still have to ask because we could have brought our own? I was unable to find the new by-lay quickly on the city’s website and I don’t recall seeing anything in the restaurant about the change. Went back to sit only to realize we weren’t given napkins. I gave up at that point. Of course, KFC doesn’t do wet wipes anymore. I used the accessible washroom to wash my hands and the other one doesn’t have a push button to open the door and I want to minimize contact with surfaces. The washroom was out of paper towels. (Consider adding a sink in the restaurant for customers to wash their hands.)
I requested dark meat for both meals but one meal had two of the same parts of the chicken; two shoulders . Would have been nice to have a leg added. The meal costs us $40.
I really feel these changes, and lack of hospitality (how to treat guests), will kill the fast food industry and the industry just goes along with the changes because they see it as a way to save money I guess.
The restaurant is extremely clean and staff are...
Read moreMy toddler used to push me buy food from there while I was totally reluctant. Whenever we dinned in there, it turned to be waste of time and money. Their food is always cold, tasteless and unhygienic while the staff are very rude and unprofessional. Every time I fed my daughter in there, she ended up having diarrhea so I totally stopped going there for many years. Yesterday when I got out of my work place, I was feeling very weak and shaky due to my low blood sugar. Unfortunately I came across this restaurant one more time after many years so I walked in there and ordered my food hopping to see positive changes after so many years. The food got ready in a matter of two or three minutes. I noticed that it was cold and old. I am sure it was sitting there for along time before it was served to me. I went back to the front and let them know expecting it to be replaced with freshly made food. I made it clear to them that I did not want any refunds, all I wanted was warm and fresh food which was refused to be served. I went back to my table and tried to eat it anyways because I was feeling very very weak and shaky. However, I could not eat much because it was very bad. I went back to the front and let them know that I was going to file a complain against them. At this point I still did not expect any refunds. I really wanted them to become aware of their very bad service. There were four people working in the back, two of them came forward and started arguing with me. One of them said…..” Miss, if you don’t like your food, the garbage bin is over there. You can throw it away…..We are neither replacing it, nor refunding any money.” I wish there was an option of rating them -5 stars. I would have definitely...
Read moreI recently visited this KFC this afternoon and honestly had a very unsatisfactory experience that left me feeling letdown. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was chaotic, with kids running around like it was a zoo. Their behavior was incredibly disrespectful, and it was shocking to see that the parents weren’t controlling them at all or setting any boundaries. It felt overwhelming, especially in a public space where everyone deserves to enjoy their time.
On top of that, it took over 30 minutes to get a small order, which is just unacceptable. While I have to say the chicken was good and the fries and coleslaw were fine, the gravy was a huge letdown—super watery and bland, definitely not what I expected. It was frustrating to wait so long for food that didn’t even meet basic standards.
There were only two or three workers on staff, and they seemed completely burnt out and overwhelmed. I genuinely felt bad for them; they were doing their best in a situation that clearly called for more help. This place really needs to hire more staff to keep up with the demand and provide better service.
To make matters worse, the washrooms were beyond filthy and had a terrible smell. I don’t understand how hard it is to flush a toilet. Maybe the kids didn’t flush, but honestly, parents should be more responsible and teach their kids basic hygiene. It’s frustrating to see such a lack of care in a public space.
Overall, this experience has left me feeling letdown and dissatisfied. I’ve certainly had worse at other locations, but I might consider this my first and last visit. Just...
