Went here with a few friends as a start to our night, found it by accident while walking by. At first we were enjoying it, small place, not a lot of people. We loved the music playing and were interested to try the pinball and arcade games available. A friend had joined us from a previous outing and had exclaimed that she lost her wallet and that she felt quite wasted already. She was in the process of getting her wallet from her friend and was not planning to buy any more drinks. Someone else from our group went up to order our 3rd round of drinks to which the bartender denied us. He said that we were cut off because he heard our newly arrived friend said she was wasted. We thought this was odd especially since she wasn’t going to be having any drinks and only we were going to order. While we understand that the bartender has the right to do this, and we wanted domestic beer and food anyway we decided to leave. We paused for a smoke outside to decide which place to go to next when THE BARTENDER came outside to yell at us, saying that he would call the neighboring bars in the area and tell them not to serve us! This put me over the edge and I thought that was disgusting. Other than our one friend who wasn’t going to drink anymore anyway, I don’t see how that was grounds to assume we were highly intoxicated as we were far from that. It would have been one thing to not serve our friend, and fine you don’t want to serve us, ok. But to come outside, and tell us that you’re going to threaten to not have any one else in the block serve us was clearly a power trip. So rude. I thought we had a found a cool place but that negative experience has ensured we will...
Read moreBar Tender berated us until we left the place. She wasn't happy that one or 2 of us didn't tip (we only ordered a beer). I'm from Scotland, it's not part of our culture to tip for just ordering a pint. Anyways, she also got angry that one of us had started eating food in the place (brought from outside). There was a million ways she could have been more respectful about that though. "Please don't eat in here it's not allowed". Or "I'm going to have to ask you to leave we have a strict no eating policy in here". Something like that would have been completely fine. But instead she came out of nowhere and angrily said "take your little picnic party and get out of here" (we were sitting on the picnic bench near the door).
She made it very clear that she was angry that a couple of us didn't tip. I can't really remember what else but I do remember she called us a bunch of "millennials".
Rather than ask us politely to leave she got very personal and attacked us based on our age. Making assumptions about our character and generalizing us. I mean come on! Someone in our party is over 40 lol. We didn't mean to be disrespectful customers. However, she DID intend to be a disrespectful host and her anger and resentment was made very clear to us. Shameful customer service to paying guests. Avoid this place. Other than this angry lady I thought the place seemed kind of cool but no way would I ever go back based on...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - the bartender was extremely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to our entire party. After we finished our drinks, she came over and told us we had to leave because a couple people in our party did not tip her. Wow. Since when is tipping required for you to stay at a bar? If they didn't tip you there is a reason and you need to respect that (and in this case, it became apparent why you didn't deserve a tip in the first place). We are all paying customers and deserve to be treated with respect regardless of how much we tip. To top it off, this hateful, arrogant, and childish bartender had the nerve to continue berating and insulting us even when we were outside. I have never experienced such BAD customer treatment in my life and will never come back to this place. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! There are so many amazing bars with amazing bartenders (with games too) in this city you shouldn't waste your money on supporting this horrible place with...
