First off I will have to go back again and order something else to give another opinion but this 2/5 is based off my first visit. The cookie sandwich was decent, don't get me wrong, I'm just being emotional because the employee said they had Reese cookies. Now when I heard Reese my mouth started to savior so of course I had to question again if what I heard was correct. I had asked the employee "did you say Reese cookies?", He firmly answered "yes. ". Sold, give me that. 2 cookies, slapped with vanilla ice cream in-between and dipped into dolce. The presentation was beautiful. Now when I took my first bite, I knew the taste was off so I had to examine what I just bit into.... I was given a smarties cookie. Not a Reese. Extreme disappointment hit me like when you order a Reese cookie and someone gives you smarties. Now I have to say it was enjoyable still, for smarties, however this isn't what I believed I was given. Reese is NOT smarties. I felt slightly disrespected and for this reason, 2/5. Would visit...

Read moreI'd been to the location on Bay Street and Queen West, but this was my first visit at the Harbord location. La Diperie is really innovative in their menu as everytime I go there, something new is there. Previously I'd had mini donuts, custom made chocolate bars, and of course their dipped cones. New to the menu is dipped cheesecake slices! Similar to the previous items, first you pick a type of chocolate to dip in, and then toppings which include everything from cereal to nuts, marshmallows, sprinkles and any ice cream topping you can think of!
The types of cheesecake slices all come direct form the Cheesecake Factory (yes that one :)). There is Dulce de Leche, Chocolate Mousse, White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and Original (Plain). The only reason I didn't give 4/5 is because there is still only one flavor of softserve icecream for dipping (vanilla). Having at least one other flavor (ie. chocolate) would make this...
