short of meeting the expectations of many patrons. Despite its charming old-world ambiance and nostalgic appeal, the quality of the pizza itself has left some diners less than satisfied.

For a restaurant that prides itself on its traditional approach and historical significance, the lackluster taste and texture of the pizza can be a significant letdown. The essence of a great pizza lies in the balance of flavors, the quality of ingredients, and the perfect fusion of crust, sauce, and toppings. If Pizza Gigi's pizza fails to deliver on these fronts, it can cast a shadow over the entire dining experience.

It's unfortunate that an establishment with such a rich history and inviting atmosphere struggles to excel in its core offering. The disconnect between the nostalgic setting and the lack of culinary excellence can lead to a sense of disillusionment among patrons who were initially drawn in by the promise of a classic and satisfying pizza experience.

While Pizza Gigi's shortcomings in the pizza department are disappointing, it's worth acknowledging that dining experiences can vary, and individual preferences play a significant role. Some patrons might find aspects of the pizza enjoyable or appreciate other elements of the restaurant, such as its ambiance or service. However, for those who prioritize the quality of the pizza itself, the lackluster taste can overshadow the positives and leave a lasting impression of disappointment.

In the end, Pizza Gigi's struggle to deliver outstanding pizza highlights the importance of consistently prioritizing culinary excellence, even in establishments that carry a strong historical or nostalgic appeal. The gap between the charming ambiance and lackluster pizza serves as a reminder that a truly memorable dining experience requires a harmonious combination of atmosphere, service, and, above all,...

I have been ordering and eating Pizza Gigi since going to high school in the area which was 25 years ago. I grew up with Police Officers from 14 division Police department that also frequented Pizza Gigi. Cops always look for great quality at a reasonable price when it comes to picking their food shops. Pizza Gigi has never disappointed. People complaining about the deliver guy and other nonsense complaints trying to negatively affect a business that has been around for almost half a century is ridiculous. I find that with reviews you need to be guarded as to what you believe, try their pizza out for yourself, I promise you will not be disappointed. Some people like to complain for the sake of complaining or whining like immature children over the most miniscule issues. Pizza Gigi was great 25 -30 years ago and it's still just as great today. Food business don't last 30 or 40 years unless they are doing something right, think about that before criticizing about nonsense. Great Pizza Great Place that never disappoints. Special thanks to the...

The pizza is actually tasty and overall it’s one of the better pizzas I’ve had from the area.. BUT I found 3 different strands of hair in the pizza that I got. I’m not usually picky with my food so with the first two strands of hair I found, I just cut the piece out and ate what was still good. But the 3rd strand of hair was to much for me at that point because now almost 1/4 of the pizza had hair in it.. and it was in there good.. because even trying to pull it out wasn’t possible. Literally solidified & baked into the cheese. (Wish it would allow me to upload the video so you could see me dragging the pizza slice by the hair strand)

Now I found this last strand when the pizza was pretty much done and I did call to let them know about this problem. They did say I could bring it back for a new one, which I appreciated, but by this time the pizza was mostly gone. hopefully they’re a little more careful with this...

Old school pizza by the same friendly family running it for the past almost 50years, they must be doing something right. Yes, the interior feels dated but that is not what they are here for, they’re here to deliver quality old-school pizzas at wallet friendly prices, even during the wee hours at dusk. Love their reasonable prices for pizzas with crusts that tasted very fresh, were not too thick, fresh toppings as well as the in house garlic dip which was an absolute complement with the pizzas. Unlike many of the affordable pizzas that you get from chained stores, with one even located directly across them, the pizzas here do not make you feel sleepy or bloated in any way. I believe this to be attributed to the high quality cheese and dough used. Do yourself a favour if you’re hungry late while hanging out in the vicinity of the western part of downtown Toronto, grab your pizzas from here instead of those chains out there.

At an accessible location in midtown, this place is not your ordinary super fancy and chic pizzeria, but a classic and true to the heart vintage esque Italian establishment. Me and my companions got a Large Cheese pizza with onions and black olives and let me tell you, the cheese was almost the best I've ever had. We were told that they use a special blend of cheese which is brought in fresh and cut regularly and it yealds a pure dairy and creamy flavor. The pizza portions were also sufficient for the price and left us satisfied. The owners were pretty friendly as well.
