My family and I went to Krispy Kreme on 225 Harbord street for the birthday special around 6:00pm on July 19,2019. When we entered the store, there was about 3 people ahead of us. You already get the feeling that the employees were tired and didn't want to be there because they kept explicitly saying it amonst themselves. One employee said "hey go on break because I've been for 10 hours and I want to get out of here". Furthermore, we overheard the employees tell the customers in front of us that there are no more original glazed donuts left. Even though the sign was still outside the store. The employees then gave everyone in the line rain check cards. At this moment, there were about 3 customers behind us. We were patiently waiting for our turn. And then all of a sudden, the customer that was way behind us was choosing donuts. So my husband said, "excuse me we were next" to the customer. The customer responded in a rude way and said the lady just asked what he wanted so he answered. And he was still ordering. Mind you his order was 3 dozens. We were only going to buy one dozen since we made the drive to downtown (were from bathurst and Wilson).I mentioned to the customer, "even if she asked you what's order, you need to look around and notice that there's a line." the other employee asked me what I wanted. I believe his name is Veendy(he's the out who cashed me out and that's the name on my receipt). This is also the same employee that said he didn't want to be there. At this point my husband and the other customer were arguing back and forth. While I was ordering, the employee(Veendy) had a very annoyed look on his face. I kept trying to repeat myself twice or 3 times so he can continue my order. He rolled his eyes repeatedly at me while getting the donuts. The employees did nothing at this moment to try and control the argument between customers. The employee(Veendy) proceeded with my order slowly. He never even told me my total, he just rang it up on the register and pointed to it. Then I paid with my debit card. I had to ask for my receipt because he just let it print and not give it to me. The entire time the employee looked annoyed and upset. And then shortly after he gave me my receipt, the employee(Veendy) told my husband, "calm down they are just donuts" and then another customer said "yeah seriously". And then the employee(Veendy) said "I've been here for 10 hours let's keep it moving man". I'm furious as to how the employee can act so unprofessionally. Yes, it was upsetting they ran out of the original glazed donuts. But we were okay with that. What wasn't okay is that the employee didn't pay attention to the environment. You can't just take a random customers order especially if they weren't next. We were trying to stick up for ourselves because it's not fair if we've been waiting there for a while, and for another customer that came way later goes first. And on top of that, that customer was very rude about it. He was telling us to get mad at the employee who asked him his order, not him. We had to speak up for ourselves even if no one cared. But as customers, it's not fair if employees don't consider the line when taking orders. Also, the environment in that store wasn't welcoming because you can just tell the employees didn't want to be there. And the only time the employee tried to break up the argument was in the end. And even that wasn't handled professionally. He told us "these are just donuts" and he's been here for 10 hours . And then I hear a guy behind me saying "yeah seriously". Which I don't see why the fact he's been working long is gonna help the argument between the customers. It's very unfortunate for me and my family to witness this. We will not be returning to this story again. As a customer, It's not pretty that the employees working there makes it very obvious that they don't want to be there. I'll make that extra drive to the further other locations to not...

By far the worst customer experience I have ever had. I had to order 10 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts for a wedding. I was disappointed to learn that Krispy Kreme doesn’t offer pre-orders, however I contacted the store the night before and they assured me they would up their order so that I could order from door Dash in the morning. I had an issue with the ordering system being available so I called the store expecting The same service I received the night before. The conversation I had with the girl was that She was not able to take my order of 10 boxes whether it was door dash or pick up. When I asked her why she said it was too big of an order and it needed to be pre-ordered (even though they apparently don’t take pre orders). When I tried to have a conversation about how the communication is different from one employee to the next she didn’t seem to care. She continued to tell me that she gets paid minimum wage it is not her job in our responsibility to communicate with the employees or fix these errors. I then asked her what she would do if I came to the store and ordered 10 boxes there. She said she wouldn’t be able to make it and I needed to pre-order it. Again… Not sure how I pre-order if it’s something that they do not do. I’ve placed the orders at the store through door dash and both of them are cancelled and all the items have been removed from online sale.

I normally don’t go to the extent to write bad reviews but this employees lack of interest in helping me, along with Her lack of motivation or Pride in her work ethic was more than troublesome. I hope the manager takes the time to address the situation and teach their employees proper customer service etiquette along with how to be grateful to have a job (minimum wage...

The first time I had a Krispy Kreme donut was at my workplace and it wow'ed me... I like sweets but donuts and tim bits are not my things... but believe me I told my self i had the delicious donut on this earth i don't remember which one it was what i do remember was it was chocolate flavour... in this pandemic i wanted to have this donut first two attempts the store was close website and ph. Auto voice timing said otherwise.... Third time went to new scarbrough location the store was to close in an hour and the line up was so long it won't finish until 3 hrs... i quit.... so after almost craving for more than a month finally i bought 4 donuts from a small location in downtown and i was disappointed didn't like any except the pumpkin cheese cake it was goood..... its not pricy at all so if you are a donut person believe me no other coffee shop donuts comes even close to...

We usually go to the Scarborough location because we live uptown, but visited the Harbord while we were in the area. The space is much smaller (which makes sense for downtown), and prices are potentially just a tad higher than in Scarborough, perhaps to reflect the higher rent downtown. It wasn't busy, they had a decent selection, and service was friendly. They were also doing a random act of kindness day and gave us free glazed donuts with our order. We were able to find street parking outside (paid, but it was only 75 cents for 15 min).

DELICIOUS! I'm not normally a fan of doughnuts, but these are great! I love the oreo cookie flavour and strawberry jelly filled. These are excellent for the price (only 10.25 for a dozen!!! Cheaper than Timmies, but way, way better!) The stuffed cream/ jelly doughnuts have lots of filling inside, more than other places. I have tried gourmet doughnut places in Toronto and they are nothing compared to Krispy Kreme! This place is way better than Glory Hole doughnuts (those were soggy, stale, bready, tasteless).

Love this location! My sister and I got a dozen assorted doughnuts here the other day. My faves are the Oreo ones and the original glazed. The Oreo one is coated with Oreo bits that aren't too hard. The inside is filled with some Oreo bits and cream and that makes this doughnut so much better. The original glazed is so soft and chewy, but not too chewy. It's not annoyingly sweet, so that's a big plus to me.
