I had the pleasure of dining at La Sani Grill recently, and it was truly an exceptional experience. This restaurant, situated in a vibrant part of town, immediately caught my attention with its inviting ambiance. As an avid fan of Indian cuisine, I decided to sample their Chicken Biryani, Tal Tadka, Kadhai Paneer, and butter naan. Each dish surpassed my expectations and left a lasting impression. Let's begin with the highlight of the meal—the Chicken Biryani. The enticing aroma alone was enough to whet my appetite. The chicken was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, while the rice was cooked to perfection, infused with just the right amount of spices. Every mouthful was a delightful combination of fragrant basmati rice, succulent chicken, and an exquisite blend of spices that left me craving more. Accompanying the biryani was the Tal Tadka, a lentil soup bursting with robust flavors. The lentils were cooked to a velvety consistency, and the delicate tempering of spices elevated the dish to new heights. The Kadhai Paneer, a cottage cheese curry cooked in a traditional Indian wok, was another standout dish. The paneer was incredibly soft, almost melting in my mouth, and was infused with a medley of aromatic spices. The curry had a perfect balance of tanginess and richness, making it a delightful option for vegetarians. To complete the meal, I indulged in their butter naan, a classic Indian bread. La Sani Grill's version was a revelation. Unlike heavier alternatives, their butter naan was light, fluffy, and had the ideal texture. It had a delicate crispness on the outside, and as I tore into it, I discovered a soft, pillowy interior. The subtle buttery flavor added an extra touch of decadence, making it an absolute pleasure to enjoy with the curries. Beyond the exceptional food, the service at La Sani Grill was prompt and attentive. Despite visiting late at night, the staff remained courteous and accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations, further enhancing our overall satisfaction. In conclusion, La Sani Grill is a restaurant that excels in delivering an outstanding Indian dining experience. From the flavorful Chicken Biryani to the aromatic Tal Tadka, the delicious Kadhai Paneer, and the light and fluffy butter naan, every dish surpassed my expectations. Coupled with the efficient service, La Sani Grill offers an unforgettable culinary adventure. Whether you visit during the day or late at night, La Sani Grill is sure to leave you with a memorable and delightful dining experience.

We just happen to come here since I picked up here for food delivery for a customer since I courier food for Skip the Dishes. It caught my eye, since I have been craving Chicken Biryani..and was wondering where my wife and I could go to satisfy that craving. We aren't experts for Pakistani/Indian cuisine by any means. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Tandoori and the Boneless Chicken Biryani. We fully enjoyed both and we were stuffed by the end of the meal. We also had quite a bit leftover for take home. Lots of chicken chunks in the chicken biryani dish. The only thing that sorta bugged me is the Chicken Tikka Tandoori. What we received didn't match the product shot at all. Was supposed to be served on a rectangular type dish with 4 pieces of chicken, decent portion of basmati rice and some salad. The salad is kinda weak in presentation. We ended up with a circular plate with only 2 pieces of chicken + the rice and salad. The mint sauce and the single naan received were good. I even got extra mint sauce for take home to add to the chicken biryani dish. We'll definitely be back for the chicken biryani dish and try some of the other chicken based dish offerings.

We decided to visit this place after reading the good google reviews. Even though we were the only customers dining in at the restaurant (at the time), the staff seemed really busy and distracted with packaging phone and online orders. We decided on Lamb Karahi (which comes with a naan, salad, and mint sauce) and Chicken Tikka Tandoori (which comes with rice, a naan, salad, and mint sauce). Our server was a pleasant and humble young lady. She made us feel much more welcome than we had initially felt with her positive attitude. The portions of food that we were served were decent sized. We enjoyed the Lamb Karahi with the Rogani Naans. They were both well cooked. The rice was also good. However, the Chicken Tikka Tandoori (which is described as half chicken with bone marinated overnight in herbs and spices cooked in traditional tandoori style to perfection) was neither properly marinated nor cooked to perfection. It looked good but was raw in certain areas and dry in others. We had to pack it up and bring it home to recook it. The restaurant is spacious and the washrooms are clean.

As a student who savors good food and yearns for a touch of homely comfort in between rigorous study sessions, I had high hopes for the touted "Student Special" butter chicken at La Sani Grill. Regrettably, what I encountered was a dismal presentation and disappointing flavor that could hardly be called a 'special'.

From the outset, the portions served under the "Student Special" were disappointingly small, hardly sufficient for a hungry scholar. But the quantity wasn’t the only thing that was inadequate.

The butter chicken was a far cry from the classic, hearty Indian dish that I love and have experienced in many other establishments. The chicken seemed overcooked, dry and lacking the tender succulence that makes this dish enjoyable. In fact, some pieces were so hard that I started wondering if they had been cooked days ago and reheated!

The sauce, which is the soul of a butter chicken dish, was lackluster at best. The anticipated balance of tangy tomatoes, smooth cream, and robust spices was completely missing. Instead, it tasted as if diluted tomato ketchup had been used, lacking the depth and richness expected in an authentic butter chicken.

The accompanying naan, instead of being warm, fluffy, and inviting, was hard and seemed stale. It was a struggle to tear into it, and the overall dining experience left a lot to be desired.

The only bright spot was the service - they were prompt and courteous. However, good service alone cannot compensate for the culinary fiasco that was the butter chicken.

In summary, La Sani Grill's "Student Special" butter chicken was an utter disappointment. It did no justice to the reputation of butter chicken and fell woefully short of providing a comforting meal that a student would look forward to.

With a heavy heart, I cannot recommend the "Student Special" butter chicken at La Sani Grill. It might be a 'special', but certainly not in a good way. I genuinely hope the management takes this critique seriously and makes improvements because the current offering is a disservice to the students and the rich culinary heritage of...

This review is regarding my customer experience on July 18th, 2020.

Me and my friend arrived at the restaurant at approximately 3:55 PM and were second in line. We noticed a couple ahead of us that was trying to order food and was taking a bit of time, so we patiently waited and decided on our order while waiting in line. We noted the time was passing 4 PM and were concerned for the time limit on the Lunch special.

It was 4:02 pm when got to the counter. We asked about the lunch special and the cashier mentioned "since it was past 4:00 PM you will no longer be able to order lunch special" we explained that we were arrived at the restaurant before 4:00 PM are waiting for the customer in front of us to finish your order but the cashier promptly stated that "the lunch special is only until 4:00 PM". I did not want to argue about this with the cashier at is not is likely not her decision for this protocol. We thought for a moment to decide another meal, but didn’t feel it was fair, so we politely said Thank you and left to get food at a different restaurant.

It is unfortunately to be noted that some of the cooking staff were not wearing masks during the time of the visit, contrary to Covid19 Toronto Bylaws.

While food delivery apps take a cut, it might be a better way to ensure appropriate service. I don’t think it’s fair to criticize this store without trying their food, but I definitely feel this customer experience can use some improvement.

I wanted to present a impartial review of this establishment and the reader make their own judgement about...
