I fell in love with Lebanese food (and the country) when I visited there in 1990. The Lebanon Express takeaway meal was our Covid choice for our 20th anniversary. It was our first time trying the Express (always a bit suspicious of places with multiple locations - fear of "fast fooditis" - but reviews were great so we took a chance) and so glad we did. My son (17) had a schwarma and after one bite said it was far and away the best schwarma he's ever had (and he's eaten a lot of schwarma because of my love for Middle Eastern food.) My husband and I had the chicken salad plates (with different sides) and couldn't stop eating, despite the ENORMOUS portions. Absolutely love this place. The kale apple salad was so fresh and crisp too - hard to do in February in a takeaway container. Even my hollow-legged 6'3" son was stuffed but couldn't stop himself from eating all but one of the backlavas during our post-dinner poker game (I cleaned them both out - pride. The upside of Covid - doing things differently. Normally we'd have gone out for a play and a restaurant meal - but I have to say takeaway and poker were more fun and just as...
Read moreI love the new recipe of their rice. I live in the neighborhood so I usually go here often. I noticed new staffs which is ok at the begining. I always order kids combo for I do not eat that much. The lady called me and I noticed she was new, after she put some rice in the bowl the guy (looks like Indian) made a face to her and whisper something. After that the lady took out some rice which I understand because from the looks of it the lady was in training. What upset me is the Indian guy asked to remove MORE rice from the bowl and it is so upsetting that the rice is already less than half of the bowl!!!!!! I always get the same thing and as I said I am not that hungry but atleast give people what they paid for!! specially when they always buy at your reataurant!! And also don’t do that whispering gesture infront of customer. Just incase that Indian guy can read this comment I am letting you know that being stingy doesnt gurantee your promotion!!! Do not do that in front of...
Read moreWe are right across the street from Lebanon Express and it is a regular stop for everyone at the shop. Lunch, quick snacks of samosas in the afternoon, or for a simple, local dinner that is fresh, healthy and delicious. I think I get their lentil soup for lunch four times a week. When my dad visits, he always wants soup from across the street. It has become part of our routines now. The peach juice is the best, in my opinion, but others like the pineapple or mango. The plate portions are generous, and we always have enough for leftovers. Wraps are quick, simple, eat-on-the-go lunches. Friendly staff, one of them with amazing blue eyes, are always quick and efficient. Really appreciate having them...
