You have to adore reviewers, they do tell it like it is.

Yes, it is more expensive than other Sushi restaurants but Roncesvalles is pretty much overpriced as is. I do like their Sushi and have always enjoyed picking up my order with the staff saying goodbye. That is such a nice touch.

Argh....but customer service is terrible. They have a policy of taking 10% off or a cash take out which before taxes comes to 30 dollars. Okay, so I ordered my lunch and added an extra order to make the total before taxes to come to $30. I went to my bank to get the cash and went to pick up my order.....

Did I mention that I order from here about three times a month? Yup, I have been a loyal customer.

The total before taxes came to $29.90....a dime short before taxes. Would they give me a discount? Nope, not until I asked for the menu to order something cheap....perhaps I could pay for extra wasabi or ginger? Originally I thought I was being "punked". I even offered to give a dime to get the discount.

I love the staff and I've always enjoyed the food albeit a bit pricey.

I left a note to the owner with my telephone number to no avail.

I can't go back there because my patronage is totally disrespected. I've asked my friends what they would do and they said they would walk out. I didn't....I paid for my order....I guess out of respect. How ironic.

Super dispointed today with my SR2 order, enough to write about it. I love this place, I go there a lot and never had a bad meal, everything is always fresh and the service is excellent. Today I decided to order in. My meal was delivered and was completely destroyed (I should have taken a picture). Everything in the container was disconnected and broken. It was a big mess. I thought, okay, this is the delivery person's fault, not the restaurant. So I sucked it up and thought, all the stuff is there, it will still be good. For $38, the raw fish was stale-like tasting, not fresh, very thin and not well contained with the rice. Super disapointed with this today. The rolls were all broken but tasted ok. I will go back to the restaurant but I will not order in again. Thank goodness it wasn't my first experience with this restaurant, otherwise I would write it off. The quality of the food is always amazing, but not today...and yes, I get that everyone has...

Too expensive for value for money. $39 for 22 piece shashmi dinner. They forgot the rice. DS11 We asked what fish and were told 5 fish but only 4 came..we didn't want more than 4 salmon pieces but 8 came out...fish and pieces should be listed on menu. We were told only 4 pieces of salmon. We asked questions but server couldn't explain anything we could understand. Disappointed. Handroll is like $9...small and over priced..not worth the money. Really disappointed in this place...japhae picture shows beef in menu but japjae that came was vegetarian. Really annoyed for a good Sunday afternoon lunch that wasn't great. There are so many better Sushi restaurants with quality, value, and good customer service...in accommodating any substitutions and clearly written menu so you know what we are getting. We are told we whatever we got was good for us. The picture of the Japchae is from menu which has beef. Korean japchae has beef usually....
