Now that it's freezing outside my cravings for spicy comfort food has begun. Tibetan food was all I wanted but I decided to try a new place other than my usual. Little Tibet restaurant is a new one and there was some tables occupied when we walked by it, which was a good sign so we decided to go there. The restaurant is very simply decorated, with a cozy and brightly lit interior. The server was very friendly and attentive. To my disappointment they did not have my go-to, which is the thali. So we decided to first order the vegetable momo's as usual. Then I ordered the prawn chilli, which was made in a chilli garlic sauce and served with rice. My friend ordered the sweet and spicy tofu and a side of tingmo. While we waited we got a basket of complimentary fried crackers/chips (wasn't really sure what they were, but they were good). The momo's arrived first with hot sauce and pickles. Now the momo's were a disappointment. The stuffing was very boring and was nothing in comparison to what we have had at other locations. Our mains were served soon after. Portion sizes were great, enough for one person. My prawns were really flavourful and spicy. It definitely hit the spot. The tofu was also good, according to my friend. However, he said he preferred the tofu he usually gets from our usual Himalayan Kitchen. Prices were comparable to the other establishments around. Overall, I would definitely come here again for the prawns and friendly service, but not for...

There ARE vegan options outside of "vegandale" (Parkdale!) and this place has some of the absolute best. Little Tibet has quickly become one of our favourite spots on Queen West for Tibetan food when we aren't necessarily craving momos. Highly recommend the Hot and Spicy Tofu as a starter. Chewy, meaty and spicy/sweet triangles of deliciousness! The Vegetable Manchurian is an authentic hakka dish made of these croquettes, for lack of a better word, in a mildly spicy sauce and served with steamed rice. VERY tasty! Another superb dish is the Tofu, Broccoli and Eggplant, which by the name does not sound at all exciting. In fact, the very helpful server actually suggested it as we passed over it initially. Well let me tell you, this is a delicious flavour explosion! The eggplant is cooked to perfection, broccoli crisp but not TOO crisp, and the tofu is similar to that of the Hot and Spicy as mentioned earlier. Crazy good, and also served with steamed rice. There was only one dish on the menu that I wasn't wowed by, and that was the Mixed Market Vegetables. It was just not as flavourful as other options, but I won't hold that against them because their menu is wonderful. Thanks, Little Tibet for your Veg options and for filling our bellies with delicious and...

The service and food quality has drastically decreased. I used to go to this place often early 2019 and food was good and service was great. I went to this restaurant on Aug 20 2019 for lunch and ordered chicken momo(9.99) and pork chilli (11.99) dry with rice. I got my pork chilli first and as soon as I tasted,it was awful. There was no salt at all and I had to manually put the salt. I taste of that dish was horrible with no flavor whatsoever. I warn not to try this dish at all. You will only get pork fat with no flavor and tons of green chili "see pic below' I could see more than 7 whole chilies in a small plate of that dish and it was super spicy with no salt. The chicken momo was not fresh as well and felt it was frozen( I am not sure though). I called the server and told her there was no salt at all and she told me "The sauce in the pork chili has salt and if you want more salt add the salt from table". We were never filled with water again and guess what the spice level was extreme. I asked my bill and she told me if I need a box to take that dish lol. I told her no and paid the bill and left. The conclusion is there are tons of another Tibetan restaurant in that vicinity which are way better and cheaper. I am not going back...

Absolutely the best Hakka place in downtown tdot. This is true hakka cuisine with its abundance of garlic, gravy, and spices in every dish. Recommendations for first visit or intro to Hakka food: Hot and Sour soup, Chilli chicken with gravy I have tried the chilli dishes, soups, fried rices, momos, and manchurian dishes. All are authentic and exactly how Chinese food would be made in Tamil Nadu. The staff here are excellent. The chef is open to special requests, and after delivering special requests, he will come out of the kitchen to check on whether his work is satisfactory after the guests have tasted. This is the sign of a chef who is conscious of quality. I once asked the chef to amp up the spice level to the practical limits and he accommodated my request and delivered tasty results and he checked up on me. This is why this is my top spot for Hakka in Tdot. Their home made chilli garlic condiment is very flammable and you'll not find something like it at other Hakka places The food is always quick, as Hakka food should be. I have never been disappointed by this place. They are consistent in quality. The interior is simple but tidy and pleasant. The location on Queen-Jameson is also prime and makes this place easy to get to.
