Was my first ever time eating Tibetan food in Toronto and I knew Norling would not disappoint, especially since it’s located in the Little Tibet neighbourhood.
Although the restaurant serves other Indian based dishes, we decided to stick the Tibetan food. As such, we got the la phing which was my personal favourite as someone who loves spicy food. The vegetable momos were done fresh and flavourful, although the chilli option did not really elevate the flavour profile apart from adding some sweetness to the momos.
We had a vegetable dish that had an eggplant based patty looking dish which accompanied well with rice and even better with the Tingmo (steamed buns). The freshness of the Tingmo was one of the highlights of our evening, if only they had more spicy Tibetan dishes to pair with it.

Read moreGuys , We were customers of this restaurant for the last four years but not anymore you may wanna think 100 times before going to Norling . We had very bad experience today. My family and 3 other families were there for momo. The first round was delicious. However, the last two plates had rotten meat. All of us almost had a puke. When we complained to the owner lady, she told us that we were full and making it . We even asked her to eat one piece from the main pot. She was still in denial. She charged us for two last rotten plates including service charge. She was rude and did not apologize . Most interesting thing is when we told her that we will not come back ; she bluntly told us not to come. We had couple of take out momos too for our kids . Those were rotten too. I suggest City of Toronto to...
Read moreAnother fine Hakka restaurant in the heart of little Tibet in Parkdale. I tried the chilli chicken as a test of Hakka authenticity and it was quite good. This interpretation of chilli chicken departs from the fiery hot gravy filled garlicky dish found in India and is milder with less gravy and less pungent. Nonetheless it was excellent and I'd guess their other Hakka classics are just as good
I appreciate the menu being simple and the items described well.
Interior is cozy and humble. Furniture and cutlery were immaculate.
Staff is friendly, service is prompt, and presentation meticulous. Like other Tibetan/Hakka places mearby, they are sincere and care about quality, and will not press you for tips like every other restaurant in...
