The food here, specially the momos, is so damn good and for a great deal! It’s a small joint next to TD Bank in Queen St W and I would suggest paying with cash. The service is delightful and they always are happy to see you come back. Momos, my love, with the wholesome curry or achar is mind blowing here. I usually call them ahead of arrival so that I don’t have to wait and they always happily oblige. The servers there are very friendly and they’ll tell you if you can handle some of the spices or not. They have a good selection of food and it’s always freshly served! Go in with your friends or with your family, you’ll no doubt like the food.

We had their beef momos and chow mein. Both were good though the chow mein was spicier than I expected and needed some soy sauce to balance out the flavours. My friend wants to return so we can try some other items. So it’s a win for us. Pros: price is excellent when comparing to other places. Selection is decent. It’s a small menu but has variety. They are accommodating. I asked for boiled water and they boiled some up for me! â˜ș Cons: I don’t know if there is bathroom I forgot to ask 💭 And the dining area could use some TLC. I feel like I’m eating in a basement. However if you can get over the look, then you’ll be fine.

Quality and flavor is begging! Used to frequent this place a lot until a year ago, it was one of parkdale's best pork chilly (spicy and dry). Visited today for a take out and surprised that it has become parkdale's worst. Pork chilly was just bland without any flavour, so much that it didn't even have enough salt in it. Beef momos were just dry without juice. What happened to quality of food here? Fair to say there are much better choices in parkdale.

A Tibetan restaurant in Toronto was just unfortunately shut down for a total of six infractions by health inspectors.

Tashi Delek is a little takeout counter on Jameson known for their momos, but health inspectors cracked down recently and shut them down for numerous infractions.

A closed notice was issued for the restaurant on July 21.

Three of the infractions were crucial, two were significant and one was minor.

Screenshot of DineSafe infractions for Tashi Delek.

The crucial infractions were for storing potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature between 4 C and 60 C, failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration, and maintaining the food premise in a manner permitting the health hazard of rodents (gross).

For the first two crucial infractions, the action was a notice to comply, but for the rodents, the action was a summons and health hazard order.

The two significant infractions were for failing to ensure equipment surface was cleaned as necessary, and for failing to protect against the harbouring of pests.

The minor infraction was for not maintaining the food handling room in sanitary condition. The action for the significant and minor infractions was a notice to comply.

The restaurant will be able to reopen once they have resolved the issues and are...

Quaint , intimate and authentic , Tashi Delek Cafe is a hidden gem , for a pleasurable experience that extends to both the tastebuds and soul. I arrived here to get some brunch and was treated with hospitality by the owners , free Butter Tea ( a slightly savory , buttery drink that I'd highly recommend) and affordable delicious food . I ordered the Aloo curry with Poori (you also have the option to choose Roti instead, but the Poori was scrumptious ! ) and a Vegeterian Chowmein . The flavors were well-balanced , the food filling and we were also given hot sauce for that extra tangy/spicy kick đŸ”„ I finished the meal with a Mango lassi and a happy heart . If you ever chance upon this Cafe , I would highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat. Be prepared for an unpredictably satisfying and nourishing...

One night for dinner, out of curiosity and for fun (also we were really, really hungry), we decided to do a taste test on veggie momos from few of the long-standing Tibetan restaurants in the Parkside area, Tashi Delek Cafe was one of them. The result was unanimous, Tashi Delek's veggie momos simply stood out the most, being the yummiest and has the best texture and best mixed filling of them all. We are not going to stop here, we are planning to continue our search, trying out as many veggie momos in the Parkside area, and see if any other would beat Tashi Delek Cafe. Meanwhile, if you love momos, especially if you are vegetarian, definitely give theirs a try. If you like spicy, don't forget to ask for their hot sauce and have them with a touch of soy...
