Lucky's Corner — Restaurant in Toronto

Honestly I am extremely dissatisfied with the food. My partner picked up the food as I just travelled for 5hrs. I am a Jamaican and I can see that the food is old food maybe like 4 days old. I ordered Ackee and Saltish and fried dumplings, which I can myself can cook very well. Firstly, my ackee and saltfish had the onion shell/trash in it, a huge pieace which made me questioned how sanitary and clean this restaurant is. Secondly, the fried dumplings were so stale and tough and that’s after I microwave them.I just threw away the 2 fried dumplings in the trash as they both were awful. You can see that the fried dumplings prior to microwaving them was drench in oil. Furthermore, my partner order fried fish and OMG that fish was so dried out and tough. I told my partner don’t ever go there anymore to order food and without a doubt he agreed. This is absolutely unacceptable and a disgrace. These people obviously don’t care about the food quality they are serving to their customers. This was extremely low food quality, I would not eat this food even if it was for free. Was greatly dissatisfied with the food. Tasteless rice and peas- oh sorry,it did have a taste, the taste of dirt from the unwashed brown rice (used because it's "easier"-chef's exact words), was absolutely disgusting and not edible- actually had to spit it out. white rice is usually under cooked - like crunchy!!!! oxtail, - ehh its ok, sweeter than most if you like that flavour.. I don't. goat - just ok - have never finished the full meal cuz it's just not that good. cow foot - not good at all - doesn't even look or taste right. I could go on about half the menu as I've tried to find one meal that tastes good as the restaurant is local and open late.. but never again! Caribbean Queen.. please stay open later... ...

This should be called unlucky’s corner. I am so upset that my partner spent even 1 cent for this disgrace. The staff was pleasant and we felt to give it a chance. Big mistake. We order fried chicken with rice and rice and peas. The chicken was tough and after peeling back the skin it was discoloured. We had to throw it away. They served us OLD CHICKEN AND RICE. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY. TO BE THIS MONEY HUNGRY TO SERVE PAYING CUSTOMERS OLD FOOD KNOWINGLY IS SO WRONG. WE SPENT $30 FOR STALE FOOD. THEY HAVE RULES IN PLACE FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR A REASON.
