I love the ease of Mac's Pizza's online ordering system via their website so that's always my first choice when it comes to placing my order. It offers up their full menu plus descriptions of each pie. You can order for pickup ASAP or scheduled, or be redirected to Skip The Dishes for delivery.
There was a hiccup this time around as upon pick up, I inquired about the dip I ordered and was told by the two employees that it was in the box. When it came time to enjoy the pizza though, I opened the box to find no dip. I messaged Mac's Pizza via their Instagram account as I've found it to be an easy and accessible way to get a hold of them and they respond quickly and promptly. They apologized for the error, saying mistakes happen, and was offered a refund for the dip (which is still pending for the following morning) and a free slice on my next visit.
Now onto the pizza itself, talk about a photogenic slice! My first impression of this VODKA PEPPERONI SPECIAL was, "wow, what a good looking pizza!" It has a vodka cream sauce base, mozzarella, and then the cutest dollops of ricotta, Ezzo pepperoni, basil, and parmesan. I personally preferred this version of their pepperoni pizza more than the Angry Pepperoni, as it was overall, less salty. Mac's Pizza offers up an unbelievably thin crust, with the crisper undercarriage, meaning NO floppy, soggy slices. I felt like this was definitely a crispier crust than the White Pie I ordered on my last visit. If you love the crispy edges on a grilled cheese, this will be right...

After 45 minutes - 20 of which sitting in an empty restaurant like a neglected houseplant, I finally walked up to the counter to check on my order. The guy at the stove, who I can only assume was auditioning for the role of "confused extra #3" in a low-budget sitcom, blinked at me like I had just materialized out of thin air.
"Is this it?" he asked, pointing at a lonely, lukewarm pizza box like it had personally offended him.
I asked how long it had been sitting there—y’know, in case I needed it reheated—and after what looked like some serious mental gymnastics, he hit me with: "I unno... uhhh... a while, I think."
A WHILE?! Sir. Who, exactly, did you think this pizza was waiting for? A ghost? A time traveler? The pizza fairy?
Instead of just admitting he goofed, he tried to defend himself with the world’s dumbest excuse: "How am I supposed to know your name?"
Buddy. I’m the only customer. Sitting at an empty table. For 20 minutes. Staring at the counter like a man waiting for a pizza. Who else could this be for?!
At that point, my hunger had transformed into full-blown hangry rage, and I had no energy to waste explaining basic logic. So I left with my sad, cold pizza and a renewed sense of disappointment in humanity.
Would give zero stars, but unfortunately, Google...
Read moreI never write reviews, but this spot is a top tier pizza joint. You walk in, the aroma sweeps you off your feet and reminds you of the love for the world you thought you lost. Incredible, fresh palpable delicious pizza smells just gently caressing your nostrils. The kind gentleman behind the counter offers a warm greeting, (or gentle lady, if one works there) and asks you what you would like. I said I want the pepperoni, and one other one that was really yummy but I forget. (This was yesterday, and I'm brain dead.) But it had mozzarella and mushrooms and other stuff I think. He took them out of the oven. He doctor'd up my sliceys without asking, which I actually have mad respect for. He sprinkled some parmasan and what looked like some honey? On one of the sliceys? Cheeky! You sly dog. Love that. I applied some chili flakes that are readily available on the counter for the custys. Nice. That way I can apply the amount that's right for me. But he nailed it with the parm, don't worry. I took a bite. Superb. Crust: flavourful, perfectly balanced with moisture, a lil buttery maybe, with a subtle crispiness. Sauce not too salty but big flavour. Cheese had that fresh cheesy vibe. And some real house made spicy garlic sauce that made me tear up. I'm upset that they don't open sooner in the day. But I suppose that's just how Mac does it. Loves to make us wait for it. You dirty dog! k...
