The worst and most overpriced to grab food on campus. I have eaten here 5-6 times, each time hoping that the previous experience was just a fluke because I have so many classes here. It’s not - the food here is consistently bad and overpriced and the service workers are generally just mean. I haven’t really expected any St. George buildings to really seek quality or reasonably priced food for their students, and I suppose I would have to accept these food places being ridiculously overpriced if they at least have a normal portion or quality of food. I once paid 8 bucks for poutine with cheese curds that tasted like sour like metal. And even if you’re going to charge an arm and leg to more efficiently profit off students, can the portions please at least be average - or at this point, I would accept slightly below average. For $16 before tax, I received a half empty salmon poke bowl with literally like five pieces of tiny salmon cubes - and when I asked for cucumbers as one of my toppings I received 3, narrow strips of cucumber SKIN averaging the thickness of a potato peel (3!!!). Somehow, despite being half empty, they still found a way to make it 80% rice. I have never been so flabbergasted by a bowl of food in my life. The pictures attached below are of the food uneaten. This is their full size. I’ve never been so successfully robbed in my life. Please just make the short trek to the food trucks.

In my opinion, this is the best place at U of T to grab a quick lunch. My favourite is the pasta station, where the chefs make fresh orders of pasta customized to the customer. One con is that the place gets very crowded during lunch hour and after classes. The line can sometimes take 15+ min and there is a lack of seating, causing people to sit on the floor. Overall, I enjoy the quality of food from this cafeteria.

Used to be a decent place to get some lunch but over time has deteriorated massively. The shawarmas are usually bland with really dry salads. They used to serve grilled vegetables with it which as its saving grace but they have stopped doing that all together. One of the worst shawarmas in the city potentially. The pasta station was then the popular lineup place.... they have restricted things you could do there as well.. you can mix sauces etc. Also they have always had the worst pizzas... Overall less quantity, bland taste, too expensive and deteriorating over time. Update- The Poke bowls also are atrocious, bland, no taste even with "Sriracha mayo". The feel and taste of preserved packaged avocados tey skimpily use is unappetizing to...

My recent experience at the Medical Sciences Cafe was highly disappointing. The prices charged were unexpectedly high, and unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match the cost. The taste and presentation of the dishes were underwhelming, leaving much to be desired. To make matters worse, the fries I received were served cold, which is simply unacceptable. Overall, this combination of high prices, low food quality, and cold fries left me unsatisfied. I cannot recommend the Medical Sciences Cafe to others who seek both value for their money and a satisfying dining experience. Improvements in pricing, food quality, and ensuring proper serving temperature are necessary to meet customer...
