What an amazing restaurant experience I and my sister had at Mehfil (etobicoke) location.

Ambience:

Amazing chill vibes. They play Punjabi music and their lighting profile is low lit which adds up to the overall experience. Along with that I found the facility well furnished.

Service:

From the get go the staff person named Devyansh (if I got it right) took care of us nicely. We gave some dish names but then he suggested some popular dish names and I must say going with his suggestion ended up being an amazing experience.

Food & Service:

When we ordered Chilli Momos, he suggested to try out the Tandoori Chilli Momos instead and Oh My God! The best Momos I ever had in GTA and surrounding areas. If you are craving for Momos, I would also recommend their Tandoori Chilli Momos. They sprinkle it with cabbage and spring onions and give mint chutney on side.

Devyansh followed up with us and asked us whether we need more chutney complimentarily which was A+ on their service.

Naan Quality:

Can be improved. Not gonna lie I found Naans as similar to the frozen ones we find in grocery stores. They should definitely try to make their naans standout as their curry. I particularly eat out just because I like the authentic Naan cooked by Punjabi people. Soft and fluffy.

Raara Paneer Chef’s Special Curry:

Again going by the waiter’s suggestion and it was fabulous. The best of the best. Originally we were trying to order Paneer Lababdar but as my sister wanted something spicy, they suggested this dish and it was every bit delicious.

Quantity:

Adequate as per the price. Can easily feed two hungry people.

Restrooms:

Very clean and very well maintained.

Parking:

Enough parking as it’s a big complex.

I went to this place it’s nearby my house on my birthday with my family and friends with birthday party. The food was OK OK on one of the dish. The food has no salt in it so I asked the waiter to playlist make the full correct and give me a new days instead of this one. Instead, she suggested me to put salt on top of it, which we don’t put it in our house due to health issues, but still seeing sister to put on Saturdays they were busy.

Moreover, the service was OK OK it was not up to the mark anywhere slow and not very welcome .

The cherry on the top wash when I went to pay the bill, the manager asked me if I would pay by cash. He will give me a 10% discount after the tax amount of the bill. Which is after-tax it’s a 13% included and -10% so even if I pay by cash I am paying more than what I supposed to pay before tax so I ask him to just remove the tax and I will pay whatever before tax if you want to but he insisted no this is our policy we will only give 10% after the taxes included in the bill and we won’t even give you the bill so I end up paying the full bill amount with my credit card. I can also share my bill with you guys for your reference.

I heard from my friend at this place was very nice. I mean I have tested this food before but it was good back then, but I don’t know if they’ll change the chief or some thing or they’re just a mistake . It’s ruined my whole birthday...

We visited Mehfil for lunch and ordered mojitos, a veg platter, and chole bhature. The meal started off well, with good flavors and presentation. However, a few issues turned our experience disappointing.

First, the veg platter was served on an extremely hot plate, which initially seemed fine but quickly became a problem. Instead of keeping the food warm as intended, it was literally burning it. By the time we went for a second serving, some of the food was already burnt, forcing us to quickly transfer everything onto our plates to prevent further damage.

The bigger issue arose when we unexpectedly bit into a hard, solid object in our food. When we raised this with the staff, their response was dismissive—they took it to the chef and returned with the explanation that it was “part of the marination.” This was not only unconvincing but also concerning, as something like this could have caused serious dental damage.

While the food itself had potential, the lack of quality control, poor handling of customer concerns, and the issue with the overheated platter left us disappointed. Mehfil needs to improve both its service and attention to detail to ensure a better...
