The price, quality of food, and overall environment was amazing, but one of the staff members who seemed to be the head of the team ruined our experience. Unfortunately we do not recall his name, but he had been an older bald gentleman in charge of the staff.
Before going into a rant about one particular gentleman, it's good to note that our decor person was refused entry into the venue before 12:00pm, even though 10:00am was agreed upon. She also notified us that they treated her poorly throughout the day. Not shocked after our experience.
It had been our wedding, and before the ceremony even began we were yelled at. This had been a gay wedding, and since he did not see a bride I believe he assumed we were both simply best men. I had moved a couple of the chairs for the ceremony only to have him come up to us screaming IN FRONT of our family. He exclaimed we could not touch the furniture without his permission. This was followed by him complaining, saying the decor was "too much" and that there was no room to dance. We told him after our ceremony finished our decor person would clear it. This was followed by him telling us our ceremony began at 5:30pm. We had scheduled it for 5:00pm, and fought back with him in regards to this only for his voice to get impossibly louder. He told us that on his time sheet it said 5:30pm, therefore we could not have our ceremony ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING any sooner! We told him to check his schedule again, and when he did it said 5:00pm... It seemed as though he wanted to pick a fight for no reason.
At 11:00pm I had an allergic reaction (long story), and had to leave in an ambulance. We told our family and friends to continue the night as we didn't want it ending poorly. We made them promise to stay till 1:00am (the time we paid up until). After we left, our bridesmaids told us he tried to kick them out! Not only that, but also AGAIN YELLED at them because they brought their bottled drinks on the dance floor and he refused to clean it if they dropped them. Nothing had been dropped at this point, or throughout the night, and he just continued to embarrass his whole team.
Do not get me wrong, the venue is beautiful and amazing for it's price, but how can we give it a decent rating when one of their head team members not only yelled at us on our wedding day without an apology, but also did it in front of family and continued to later yell at our...

I am an event coordinator and I have been to several venues that operate professionally. As for Europa on Dundas, this was not the case.
A list of things that happend:
When setting up DJ equipment, one of the staff raised his voice at the DJ expressing that he could not place the wires along the side of the hall after being told by another staff member that where he was placing the wires were fine.
*Being the wedding coordinator, I introduced myself to some of the staff, I found them to be very unfriendly and un-engaged.
*During dinner service, there was ZERO etiquette to dropping off plates and picking up plates. They piled them loudly on there arms with no grace or ease, and never said excuse me. I noticed when someone was away from their seat, they did not put food on the plate, and would never come back to follow up.
For non pork eaters, they put all the meat on the same platter instead of bringing out an isolated dish for those who asked for accommodation.
The worst part is they brought the Garbage can trolley to the middle of the dance floor and continued to scrape the dirty plates into the can while speeches were happening. When I told the staff this needed to stop, they proceeded anyway!
*During and emotional speech by the brides father, there was a disagreement happening between the staff in the kitchen (the kitchen is directly next to the head table where the speeches were happening). The staff in the kitchen were yelling and screaming and the entire 150 guests could hear this..it was very embarrassing to the bride and groom. One of the staff continued to "SHHHHHHHHH" which made the moment worse.
*To top it all off when I needed to coordinate the cake cutting, I could not locate one staff member. The only person on the floor was the bartender. I looked around for 15 minutes and finally found one staff member smoking a cigarette. When I asked him where the staff were, he said they were all having dinner (at the same time).
*It was 11:30pm and the open bar that was paid for ran out of alcohol (They only thing left was beer and peach schnapps)
I will say the food and buffet were amazing...but the service was highly disappointing. I would never recommend the Toronto location...
