BEST POUTINE in TORONTO!
I have been in Montreal for years so poutine has my heart. This is one of the best poutines to try in Toronto.
Nomnomnompoutine is a delightful twist on the classic Canadian dish! Their take on poutine features crispy fries smothered in rich gravy and topped with gooey cheese curds, all elevated by creative toppings. Whether it’s pulled pork, mushrooms, or spicy toppings, each bite is a flavor explosion. I liked the traditional poutine with double cheese. The portion sizes are generous, making it perfect for sharing—or not! They have vegetarian gravy! The atmosphere is casual and inviting, ideal for a laid-back meal. Plus, the staff are friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. If you’re a poutine lover or just looking to try something new, Nomnomnompoutine is definitely worth a visit! his is a food truck so it’s not your typical brick and mortar!
Location: NOMNOMNOM Poutine 707 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 2W6

After my favourite Poutine shop in the city closed I heard that NomNomNom was the next best thing.
Outside of Ottawa or Montreal Poutine - yeah they were right. Definitely lived up to the hype (and I didn't even eat it fresh as it was given to me).
I ordered the Triple Cheese and got it for takeout to have at a picnic and even then it was still amazing. The cheese curds melted and yet somehow still retained their cheesy goodness. The gravy was also VERY GOOD. Can't comment on the fries because I didn't eat it fresh but honestly when I looked at it everything looked fantastic.
It's just unfortunate that there is only one location in an area that I'm not often near so getting to have this wonderful Poutine is so limited.
But yes, Canadian staple, Toronto staple right here. This is officially my new favourite Poutine place, taking the Number 1 spot.
(Totally didn't know there was a tablet to order just on the right of the window, ma bad lol I ordered in person).
No one else was there so service was fast, freshly made. Cannot...
Read moreIt's the cheese. NomNomNom uses big, succulent curds of cheese that make a satisfying squeak. The crispy, shoe-string fries are bathed in enough gravy to make a stew. And $3 for triple cheese? Did I time warp to 2015?
I had the new jerk chicken recipe, which may appeal to those who like it, but I felt it didn't belong together. Luckily there was heaps of classic poutine underneath, which was excellent. Next time I'll try the Montreal smoked meat. They are missing butter chicken.
There is only one size of poutine here, although you can double or triple the cheese. Ordering is done through a kiosk, and a note says cash payment is possible at the window.
There are two picnic tables with sun shades, shared with the other food trucks. If they are full, there is lots of bench seating around but you would need to use your lap.
The fries were definitely NOT sweet potato, as stated by another reviewer, but they are thinner than normal. The thin fries are crispy but are prone to drying out. The recipe would be enhanced if they switched to a...
