I walked in for the first time today. I nice older man greeted me. Asked me what I wanted and I told him a chicken salad. He starts preparing the chicken right away and goes onto the salad. Let me tell you, everything that was there looked old. As soon as he put that lettuce in the takeaway box, it was brown, wilted and clearly not fresh (nor was it the regular lettuce you would use for salad). I wanted to turn away right then and there 🤮 he goes on to throw 3 cucumbers, a few tomatoes, and other purple turnips I didn’t ask for. Put on some clearly watered down ‘salad dressing’. That salad did not look appetizing. Again, I should’ve walked away right then, but didn’t. He put the chicken on packed it up and didn’t tell me the price just asked me to pay cash. I said I wanted to use credit, but he goes on and mumbles something so I thought, hey maybe there’s no tax if I pay cash since he didn’t even punch it into the register. He hands me back $85 from the $100 I gave him. And I looked at him and said, whoa the salad says $7.99 how the heck did I pay $15??? He’s like oh the salad only comes in the large. Liesssss I saw the menu with small, med and large. This man didn’t even ask me what size I wanted and charged me what he wanted. He didn’t even give me the proper change and shorted me. I would keep an eye on him! He clearly didn’t punch it into the cash register. Horrible service on his part, horrible looking toppings/salad. Worst $15 I’ve spent
Edit to response ** not sure what 'investigation you did' but you clearly can't take accountability for your actions. Those were not fresh, review your video. He was literally giving me the leftover scraps from each veggie container. I walked in and looked at the menu and literally just asked if he had a chicken salad, I didn't point at screen and say the large size. NOR did I ask for extra chicken. In fact, when he asked, I said no. Again, he knew it was my first time inside as I had mentioned it, and he didn't ask if I wanted a small or large or what kind of salad I wanted! Get your facts straight. Clearly your camera didn't record sound or you would have 'done the investigation' thoroughly. Anyways, good luck running your business accusing your clients of lying when you guys are the dishonest ones! I wish I took video, but my coworkers are my witness...it literally got thrown in the garbage where it belonged. The chicken was seasoned nicely though so I'll give...
Read moreBeen here twice in the last week. First experience: Checked online for menu and prices. Found everything on skipthedishes. On the website they had a special which was buy a shawarma wrap with fries and get a free drink for 7.99. Sounds like a great deal so I head in and order in person. Ordered 2 lamb wraps with fries and a drink. The cashier charged me 21.20. Which is essentially paying for each item individually. I think lightly of this as it may have just been an error of communication or maybe the cashier is new or maybe it was an exclusive offer from skipthedishes. Food was good, I enjoyed so no harm, no foul...or so I thought. Second Experience: Going back to skipthedishes, I decide to order pickup through them to redeem the special but this time I ordered two of the specials which came to 18.06 (for 2 wraps, 2 fries, 2 drinks). I previously payed 21.20 for 2 wraps, 1 fries, 1 drink. I get to the restaurant and notice that the same cashier from my first experience is there except he's working grill. I come up to the register to pick up my order and am now being told that they replaced my lamb wraps (without notifying me) with chicken because the lamb was more expensive. Fair enough, I get that, so I ask if they can just give me the lamb and charge me a little extra. The cashier tells me yes and I ask how much. He pauses to think and tells me $7 to which I decline as that's way too much for a small upgrade (Price from beef/chicken wrap compared to lamb is about $1.50 on skipthedish). I tell him I don't want the chicken and that I'd rather have the beef to which he replies which OK $5 for the lamb as if we were somehow negotiating. I decline again and ask for the beef which they ended up making for me. Again food was good, I just found it very shady that they list one price and charge another.
VERDICT: Basically food is decent, customer service was shady. If you are to order food here just make sure you're getting charged the correct price. Cash register is very old school and cashiers are questionable to say the least.
PS I feel like they could've just gave me the lamb wrap the second time for whatever the price I payed and just told me that the special is for only beef/chicken and to only order that in the future instead of switching it and giving me something I don't want and having me wait for a...
Read moreI was looking for a place to grab a bite while waiting to pickup my niece from work who recently started working in the vicinity and decided to give this place a go and it was somewhere around 5.20pm today. There was two women before me who were flirting and giggling with the guy behind counter and I never mind a brother having pleasant time and waited for my turn to order. It was what he did next really p!ssed me off. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and one of the ladies has ordered the same and he started making the two wraps side by side so it was very obvious to compare them. This guy loaded that woman's wrap full of chicken while entertaining her with small talk and literally added half that amount of chicken to my wrap, which he made in a freaking torn pita bread missing a piece. However there was still some chicken left on the grill and he threw them back to the base of the rotisserie?? And as I was going through the wrap (which was tasted like a garden salad in a pita) I could see he added ‘lettuce’ to make up for the chicken he didn’t give me. Funny he even had the heart to offer the terminal with tip option, Ive never hit no 👎 tip so fast in my life lol. ‘bro’ its okay to have fun but make sure you treat all your customers with unbiased service. Even the ones without a tight miniskirt and a city pouch. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you are willing to flirt for your food,...
