Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

Wednesday, May 11/22 Passing by today, popped in for a quick bite around 2:30pm-ish. Spoke to the guy behind the counter and ordered a falafel on saj (Middle Eastern flatbread) combo. Quite tasty!

I believe I've tried everything on their menu that I wanted to try. I have no reason to return.

Friday, May 6/22 Dropped by today for lunch and saw the same guy as before was working. Because he remembered my order (!!) from the last time he served me (February 28, 2022), I ordered exactly the same thing - lamb wrap and fries. I ate the wrap so quickly that I forgot to snap a pic. I did, however, manage to take one of his delicious and artistic french fries!

April 6/22 This morning I decided I would have lunch here, so have lunch here I did!

I arrived just after 4pm and was attended to by a helpful young girl named Ashmita. After a few questions answered, I ordered a Philly chicken wrap combo - spicy.

Wow! So juicy, so messy and so deeelish! Added some garlic and hot sauce to the fries and I was in paradise!

February 28/22 Haven't added to this review for a while, but today I felt I had to. Spoke with a helpful young man behind the counter and ordered a lamb wrap with fries. The wrap was stuffed and the fries were amazing! Obviously made with love and deliciousness - thank you 😋!

May 14/19 Wow! I've passed this local eatery many times and have always wanted to try the Shawarma Poutine they advertise in the window. Today was my lucky day!

Walked in, talked to an incredibly helpful counter guy named Mufleh, and after a few questions, finally opted for the Philly Chicken Poutine. I was blown away!

Delicious fries absolutely smothered with green pepper, onion, mozzarella cheese and Philly sauce - and of course, the chicken shawarma!

Must come back to try something else next time!

Friday, March 30/19; Freshly made falafel sandwich, fries and pop made a meal satisfying...

FOOD POISONING DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I’ve been to other Osmow’s many times and I often order chicken on the rocks with fries, and they never mess up my order. I get a half of the portion with fries and the chicken on top of it, and the other half with rice. So the lady who took my order yesterday had probably misheard what I was saying and made the whole thing with rice, When I had clearly told her that I want it with fries as I always order but when I checked and confronted to her and I asked her to either replace my order or at least make a small portion of chicken on the rocks with fries but instead of admitting her mistake, she started a wholeass argument with me saying I was wrong to not mention I want it with fries while ordering, she’d deny to my face that I never mentioned even once anything about fries when I had clearly did so. The argument on and on and in the end she had agreed to give me a very little portion of it and in return, she demanded a good review from me, I’m guessing she was the owner of the store and I would honestly still give her a good review as per her demand if I wasn’t suffering from a sever food poisoning, I have the nastiest stomachache, I threw up at least three times last night. Lord knows what was in the fries she gave it to me but I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT TO GO TO...

I used to come here once every month or two for some quick takeout on my way home from work, but unfortunately I will no longer return to this establishment.

I went in today to get my typical order, one of their platters. These provided your choice of protein on rice, fries, or veggies. This was served in a square box, with a salad in a separate box roughly half the size. I describe the size of the meal because I was informed that this option is no longer available, replaced by something called the Oz Box. This comes in a container basically the same size as the platter, but has a divider and now contains both the salad and main. This means you will be receiving less than half the amount of protein/side, as well as a slightly smaller salad. To be fair, the price is cheaper (by about $3) but not even close to the value of the previous combo, considering you get basically half the amount you would have received with the old platter.

For a fast food chain of average/inconsistent quality, the only real draw for me was the value of the meal, which is no longer worth it. Considering there are several other shawarma restaurants in the area of comparable price, I will no longer be...
