Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Toronto

I've only gone in person to this location once and the person didn't greet or acknowledge me and after a while I just opted to leave. Since then I've been ordering through Uber Eats and have had different problems with my order.

Today is the 3rd time in the year that I've ordered from this location and my order has been incorrect.

the first time they missed the notes for the hot sauce to be on the side and did not provide the right pop, I asked for a sprite and recieved coca cola.

the second time they missed the notes for the hot sauce to be mild and instead gave me no sauce at all as well as no ketchup for the fries.

this time they missed adding the mild sauce to my shawarma, covered the fries with a white sauce (not sure what it was) and for the Junior shawarma i asked for it to be naked but have tahini and garlic sauce, and the hot sauce on the side, they didn't put any sauce in the shawarma at all and added extra white sauce on the side. The chicken was extremely dry. We ended up just tossing it.

I'm not sure if anyone can understand this but when you have a dish and have your own way of putting it together, when something is missing the dish no longer tastes the way it should and it just isn't cravable anymore.

the only time ive had my order done correctly is when i called in to tell them they missed it but i shouldnt have to do that, i even made a note on this order that they messed up the last order and THEY STILL MESSED UP AGAIN!!!! im just going to order from the Dufferin and St Clair location. Its further from me but they follow...

EDIT I was really impressed that this Osmows location went above and beyond to make things right. After my initial review, I went in at their invitation, tried one more time and it was much better. Good portion size and sauce, they went above and beyond. I found this to be very good customer service and I will be back.

The staff are very friendly at this Osmows location and it is very clean, so that is a definite plus.

Unfortunately, I really wanted to love this Osmows, given that it is my favourite place to grab a bite and this is the closest location to my house. But after two tries, it has let me down, and I will go to a different location in the future.

On one occasion, I ordered on Uber Eats and found the portions much smaller than in other locations. The container was half filled with rice, skimpy on the chicken, and skimpy on the sauce. The second time, I ordered in-store for takeout and paid for extra garlic sauce. I confirmed with the employee that she put on the order. When I got home, to my surprise, there was almost no sauce, and it was underfilled with both rice and chicken yet again.

I still love the food at Osmows, but will not be back at this...

This Osmows location has improved immensely over the past year or so. Upon my first visit I would have rated this specific location a 2 out of 5. Like most restaurants who go forth with a wide and quick expansion, the quality dips and the customers are the ones who suffer. This location was no exception; small portions, unbalanced sauces, low quality cuts of meat etc... But I will give them credit when it is due. My last few visits over the past year has increased in quality over time. Upon my visit the other day I ordered a medium chicken on the rocks and a regular chicken shawarma wrap. The chicken on the rocks was seasoned nicely with a balanced portion of rice, chicken and sauce. My wrap had the fixings evenly distributed and the integrity was great as it didnt fall apart and leak sauce. I have always enjoyed Osmows, and was quite honestly disappointed with my experiences at newer locations as the quality that I had come to know and expect from Osmows has dipped a fair amount, but with this newer location improving over time I hold hope that Osmows can return to its original form. I can now say that that I do reccomend this...
