I decided to try Osmow’s after a kickboxing class nearby. I’ve had it in Mississauga but happy to see that a location has sprung up fairly close.

Middle Eastern deliciousness at a fair price and healthy. The space here is quite large and seating is limited, about 7-8 tables.

I ordered Chicken on the Rocks which is basically shawarma chicken on a bed of yellow rice with Osmow’s special sauce (white garlic goodness) and I love spice so I went with three long lines of spice (medium hot). Note: The red sauce is not as hot as Hallal Guys. This simple dish hit the spot, with tax and all it’s just under $10 for a medium (I ordered takeout and it lasted me two meals) meanwhile the large was about $2 more.

The gentleman at cash and the lady behind the counter did not speak much English but they were so incredibly nice!

If you’re on the area, definitely give it a shot.

If you’re students there is also a student special ☺️

The reason for four star is because it is clean, reasonably price for a take out spot, food is fresh and healthier (than your normal greasy spoon) and staff are really nice. It lacks the one star as there wasn’t specific variable that made me feel it was perfect. Either way, I recommend this place, quick, easy and...

One of the few schwarma places I consistently go back to on a weekly basis, probably since it first opened a while back. Place is generally clean and everyone there is nice, though accents can be a little tough to decipher at times. Nonetheless, still great.

I'm terms of food, waiting times are generally 5-15 mins depending on if you get chicken on the rocks, vs longer if you get anything else. Portion size is ok, wished they put a little more salad in their small salad container and consistently put the same vegetables in the salad ( sometimes missing cucumbers, or green peppers, or has onions, etc). The chicken wrap is great bang for the buck, chicken on the rocks is pretty good meal if your into chicken and rice. And the hot sauce is great - the more you put the hotter it gets. I definitely don't go hotter than "hot" and it's enjoyable, and doesn't kill my stomach the next day.

The only reason I give it a 4 is the chicken quality seems to have dropped off since it first opened. Recently I have found small bones tendinous pieces and fatty pieces in my wraps and chicken on the rocks. Not sure if they have a different supplier, but it worries me eating it now as I need to be on the lookout for these things (especially the bones) to...

I had a disappointing experience with my recent takeout order from Osmows. I ordered falafel and my husband ordered Beyond Meat, but when we got home and opened our containers, we found that both were only half full. When we called the osmow’s to inquire, the lady mentioned it was due to new guidelines, which left us confused and unsatisfied. This was a letdown, and I hope the restaurant can clarify these guidelines and address the issue to prevent future occurrences.

In response to your comments,

I clearly stated "in my recent orders" without mentioning the date. And regardless of the date the order was placed, we can clearly see in the pictures that quantity of falafal specially where rice is almost hitting the rock bottom and quality below average. My husband did call on the day of order and was told that we are following guidelines. Lol, what guidelines that suggests to serve this much portion for $30, we also visit other osmows and never seen anything like this. This is the second time that it happened, and we had to leave the review. I have attached picture of my husband's review as well which was submitted on the...

Came today for lunch, as I'd never been in before. Trouble started with my order. I asked for the Daily Special, which is Beef Kofta. I was puzzled by what I got and after a few mouthfuls realized it was chicken, not beef. I took my plate to the counter and asked the man who'd prepared it if it was the daily special. He replied no, it was the Everyday Special - chicken shawarma. I told him I had ordered the Daily special, the beef kofta. He checked with the young man who took my order and that one insisted I had ordered the Everyday Special. I didn't appreciate being called a liar. The older man made me the beef kofta, which was very flavorful. I had a few bites, then put it in a take out container with the rice I couldn't finish. Forget this place - while the portions are generous, it's pricey, the chicken shawrma of their Everyday Special is fatty and tasteless as are their sauces. Go to Babos on Eglinton at Caledonia instead.
