Recently , I had mistakenly labelled this area of Queen West West from Roncesvalles to Dufferin as a stretch lacking good coffee shops. Recent explorations in this area have made me realize the error of my beliefs, and the Osprey Café is a prime example of that. I find the store fronts in this stretch of Queen West can be hard to discern, and therefore it is essential to look closely at the café offerings in this area. As those of you who follow my Google reviews will know, I often comment on whether a coffee shop would be an appropriate local. That is a coffee shop that you would go to every day if you lived close enough. The Osprey has exactly the right atmosphere for that purpose. The barista is the owner of the café and was willing to talk about both the coffee he was serving and the atmosphere he wanted to create for the space. I have no doubt that if you had coffee here 2 to 3 times in a row, ge would be remembered your name and your order. My Cortado was prepared absolutely perfectly as was my companion's iced Americano. The coffee was rich, dark and perfectly brewed. The whole experience supported the cozy, informal and welcoming atmosphere the café provides. If you're living in this area and are looking for a local, I suggest you check out the Osprey. If not, and you're just strolling in this area of Queen West West, absolutely stop in.

Cute and cozy cafe located where Queen West meets the Queensway, near Parkdale Hall. Visited today (Saturday) at 12:30pm. There were about 6 people inside, but still 4 tables available for seating (half empty). Ordered the brown butter chocolate chunk cookies. I warmed them with the natural sunlight flowing in from the large bench window seating. It was delicious, soft and not too sweet. A great balance of salt and sweet. Lots of different types of table seating. Would be great for catching up with friends or getting work done. The barista/owner was kind and friendly. The cafe only offers hot drinks, but they offer coffee, tea, and seltzers. I asked if I could order a matcha paste and then I ordered the white peach seltzer. I combined the two and made myself a nice cold and refreshing drink. Not sure if they have wifi. They seem to share their space with a hair salon – the salon is in the very back. The washroom is also clean and on the same level as the cafe. I highly recommend a visit. I'd love to return if I'm in the area.

Only request: they open at 8am so people can go in before work Fantastic classic city cafe for coffee or wine. They aren’t trying to be fancy, they are causal and well lived in. Got a huge bay window perfect to hangout in with a book. No one rushes you. Matcha lattes are excellent here and their grill cheese is PACKED full of cheese and only $8. Total of two matcha lattes, grill cheese, several hours in a sunny bay window with a tip was less than 15$ Apparently they have comedy nights last Friday of every month. Excited to check that out

Osprey Café is a gem of a local spot with a warm, welcoming vibe. I had a great conversation with George, one of the owners, and it’s clear they pour a lot of heart into this place. They’re not just running a café, they’re building community, hosting comedy nights, art shows, and private events.

The space itself is cozy and inviting, perfect for grabbing a coffee or a cocktail during happy hour. I tried a couple of their house-made chocolate chip cookies, and they were excellent. Great quality chocolate and just the right texture.

If you're looking for a café that supports local creativity and good conversations, Osprey Café is definitely worth a visit. They are also open until 8:00 p.m....
