Great vibe to the spot, feeling like an art gallery meets a comic shop. Little bar rail patio outside the garage door, couch and some high-tops inside.
I was there during non-busy hours. The barista seemed new and nervous, and I'm not sure her training was terribly comprehensive. My "flat white" came out like a scorched latte (assuming she's new, this would be a training issue), and the "crispy" ginger snap was soft and bendy (obviously not the barista's fault on the cookie, could be the humidity, could be a baking issue). The pistachio date cookie was lovely.
The coffee itself was nice, and the flavour of the cookie was good. I'm willing to chalk it up to a one-off. I'll update my review if...
Read moreCool shop that's 1/3 art gallery 1/3 cafe and 1/3 art studio. We were walking by and decided to pop in to take a look at the art. Unfortunately we didn't get a coffee here but they had all the machinery for a high end brew, but we were amazed at the art that was being showcased, and did pick up a few gifts for friends in our of some of the books they had available. Read moreWent to quickly get coffee and had a ginger cookie with it. The barista was super nice. Has some nice snacks and option for tea as well. Some seating. Really it's a design gallery and back office for the staff that works there. Met with the owner to grab a print there and he was super nice and cheerful and chatted a bit. Hope to see his booth at fanexpo...
