This is one of those « I don’t often write Google reviews… » unless service is outstanding or there is consistently good products, and Pablo’s hits the ball out of the park there. I’ve been a regular customer at Pablo’s since before it was Pablo’s! Same hard working folks that greet you with a smile, and turned their coffee shop goals into a reality from a franchise to family owned business.
As a previous student and current remote worker, getting out of the house is not just needed, but finding a good place to work that balances comfort, good food, and friendly service is a hard mark to reach. For around 2 years now, I think, I’ve consistently been impressed with the owner’s dedication to good service, the staff who are always greeting customers and accommodating folks substitution requests, and the kitchen workers pumping out delicious meals. I’ve watched as the staff have taken care into cleaning up tables quickly, taking pictures of new menu items plated with love, and the overall relationships that they have built with the broader community over the years. I believe the website says this, but Pablo’s seriously isn’t just a coffee shop, it’s a community. A place to meet new people, eat some seriously good breakfast, fuel up on power bowls, and have a comfortable place to work if you need it. Emergency service workers come in for lunch, construction folks grab sandwiches and coffee, and families, couples, and remote workers like myself are amongst the many folks who likely call Pablo’s one of their favourite coffee shops. Shout out to the whole team at Pablo’s!!
Don’t all rush to this hidden gem at once though, I still want my seat the corner to do work, haha!! Let’s share in appreciating a truly wonderful place :)

Read moreAs an American visiting Ontario for the first time, Pablo’s Coffee Shop was a warm welcome to the city. Tucked among the shops at Don Mills, it has a cozy, inviting atmosphere where you can sip your coffee and catch snippets of conversation in multiple languages—a reminder of Toronto’s incredible diversity. The staff were friendly, and while the seating is a bit snug, it adds to the charm rather than feeling cramped.
I stopped by a few times during my trip. For breakfast, I had the Basic Breakfast—simple but satisfying. The scrambled eggs were well-cooked, the bagel came with a variety of spreads (peanut butter and jam alongside butter), and the turkey bacon was long, crispy, and just right. I paired it with a mocha latte, which was warm, rich, and perfectly balanced. A nice touch was the complimentary Biscoff cookie, which made for an excellent dip in the latte.
On my second visit, I came to get some work done and tried the Dulce De Leche Latte—sweet, creamy, and exactly what I needed for a mid-day caffeine fix. This time, I treated myself to a maple butter tart, which was decadent, rich, and the perfect companion to my coffee.
Pablo’s is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, knocking out some work, or just enjoying a good latte, it’s well worth a stop. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m...
Read moreI ordered a peach tea. Wasn't anything special. The real reason for their lower rating is the older man working there. I noticed him standing and watching people at the patio. At first, I thought he was just looking for dirty dishes, but it felt like more than that. My suspicion was confirmed by an interaction he had with two young ladies. They were sitting at a table meant for two people, although there was a bench along the side. The girls had ordered a drink and were doing schoolwork, likely had been there for a while. When one of them got up, he approached them and said, "Just so you know, this is a table for six, so if a family comes in, they’ll have to sit here." The girl, confused but polite, offered to move, but he said it was fine for now.
Who is he to dictate where people sit? Clearly, the table wasn't meant for six people—at most three. He just wanted them gone because they had only bought tea and were staying for a long time. There was no sign indicating a time limit or a minimum purchase requirement for certain tables. On the other side, a couple of older people sat at a similar table design, having bought some croissants and coffee. He didn't say a word to them. I felt disgusted. As a side note it wasn’t busy at the time and many empty...
