Initially I was going to give a review after my first time visiting. However I decided I'd try it again and order something else to see if my issue was a just a bad day or order based. It was not.
Like other comments have mentioned, there is a severe lack of meat on the dishes. My first visit I ordered a regular chicken on rice only to get home and see there was barely any meat. To put it into perspective, I'd have one sliver of meat on my fork with a mountain of rice for every bite and within under 10 bites I was out of meat. I was left with about 60% of the container that just consisted of rice and sauce. Taste wise I'd give the classic chicken on rice a 7/10 but that's top marks assuming the order has a reasonable amount of meat.
Today I visited and thought I'd try a wrap out. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap while it tasted good, again there was barely any meat it in it. I understand meat is the most expensive ingredient in a dish but come on Paradise Shawarma, I'm not paying 10$ for a wrap full of vegetables when the premium comes from the chicken. Taste wise I'd give the chicken shawarma wrap an 7.7/10 but again, that rating only holds assuming there is a reasonable amount of meat.
To wrap up I'd say you're probably better off visiting any other shawarma place, the taste here is decent to low-good but they hand out the absolute minimum when it comes to the meat.
Overall I'd say avoid this establishment if you are expecting delicious meat in your dish as they seem too stingy to give proper portions. I will not be returning unless I'm guaranteed that some change...
Read moreShawarma taste good. Nothing extra ordinary though. One shawarma is good enough for one person. Very filling. Be careful if you ask for hot sauce though. Because this is the only shawarma place where you get a spicy kick of hot sauce for real.
The owner of this store seems honest too. They recently offered buy one get one free promo on Uber Eats, but didn't cheat customers by jacking up the price of first shawarma and claimed the second one coming for free.
So over all they are a good alternative to have.
That being said, $9.99 for one shawarma is still a bit on the expensive side in my opinion based on the taste and portion size on Uber eats.
I personally avoid shawarma places that charges more than $6/piece. So I may only perfect going back to this chain of additional discount is offered along with BOGO. For example, I bought 4 shwarma at total cost of $4.65/piece after all discounts and membership. So I am happy with this price. If I didn't have those discount... I would have seek for other alternatives.
So based on price and taste I think they gets a 4 star easy.
But I am leaving them with a 4 star because on Uber Eats they all charge an online marketing fee for $5 and $0.25/shwarma for 1x parsley. Parsley I get.. but $5 online marketing fee to each customer is a bit exhaharating. That means you are charging $500+ a month to your customers (given u sell it to a modest 100 customers).
These additional mark up is unfair to consumers in my opinion, as there is already an additional 10% service fee charged on...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Their night shift staff is the worst. Now I understand they charge extra for the sauce but for more than a month they didn't and suddenly one day they said this is our policy. Staff were extremely rude and no etiquette to speak to customer. We had issues with the food where the meat was super salty and a wrap had a hair in a wrap. They are quick to charge the customer but when it is their fault there is no sense of accountability. The staff's response was "ok". We gave the feedback so they can correct it and it doesn't happen to us or anyone else.
We used to spend 40+ everyday but clearly they don't want our business and we are happy to take it to a different business. Their staff is arrogant and do not have customer service skills. If the owner is reading this - Your night shift staff needs extreme retraining. Knowing the retail industry you won't care about a bad review as long as your business is making money. I am telling you, your staff will bleed customers and it will hurt your profitability. Good Luck!
I am taking my business elsewhere and ensure anyone I know doesn't go...
