I don’t like writing negative reviews of small businesses but I think it is warranted here given the raw food I got.
I’ve been here before and recently went again driving 35-40 minutes away from Markham upon hearing a good review from a friend.
I ordered seekh kebabs, chicken biryani and chicken Karahi.
The taste was good a bit on spicy side, until I realized how raw the inside of the beef kebabs were, completely NOT cooked. I called and asked to speak to manager, who was not in, and lady at front took my complaint but tried to defend it at first saying pink is normal, and clearly from pics it is not. I was given an apology and told she would relay complaint to chef. Not sure what other action will be taken to rectify the situation. I felt they should’ve offered me a refund or voucher for the hassle.
Given how expensive everything is nowadays, it sucks that I had to throw away the food and what I did eat before I realized it was raw could be end up making me and my family very stomach sick (hopefully not). This ruined my day.
The chef or food preparation person needs better training and/or quality control, and staff needs to handle complaints better and more seriously so they...
Read moreMy family and I went to Patna Kabab House at Scarborough on August 30th 2015 to celebrate my daughter's 3rd wedding anniversary. What a horrible experience it was. First we found an old seekh kabab under our table which had turned into a stone. This indicates how "neat" and "clean" the place is. Probably it is only cleaned on eids. We ordered beef seekh kababs (under cooked and red from inside), gola kababs (extremely bore), chicken boti (very dry and bore), dal fry (so so), chicken biryani (stale) and chicken karhai. As if all these things were not enough to decrease our appetite, I found a strand of hair in chicken karhai. When I asked the manager if their chefs wear hats and about what I had discovered in chicken karhai, he said to me how I was sure that it was from chef's head. Yeah right. I plucked a hair strand from my husband's head and mixed it in my karhai. The manager didn't even bother to apologize and didn't care when we left without eating. Guys eat at this place at your own risk. I am, for sure, going to report this to the concerned authorities. This restaurant is not only filthy but they also serve...
Read moreWe drove all the way from Brampton to Scarborough with high expectations, especially since we had visited this place in the past and I personally know the owner. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be quite disappointing.
The biryani was clearly reheated in a microwave—some parts were cold while the bottom was piping hot. The beef kebab had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the Behari kebabs were overly chewy instead of tender and flavorful. I regret not taking photos to document the experience.
When I raised my concerns, the owner refused to acknowledge any issue. Instead of addressing the quality problem or offering a refund, he simply offered a chicken replacement. My concern wasn’t about getting free food—it was about the unacceptable quality which they didnt acknowledge. We ended up leaving the paid food uneaten.
In my opinion, a restaurant should take responsibility for the food it serves. Sadly, the atmosphere and customer service were just as poor as the food. This experience fell far below expectations, and I won’t...
