Although the east-end has it's fair share of pak/indo restaurants, Scarborough really lacks a halal desi restaurant worthy of entertaining guests and family in a decent setting. Good food and great ambiance is ultimately what Karahi Boys brings to the table...
As a first timer, the initial impression is great. The restaurant is nicely done up with modern/industrial finishings which give it a trendy, yet cozy feeling all around. Everything from the lights to the wood finishings give it a unique rustic feel. I came with a friend, but couldn't help think that this would be a great place to take guests out when they come to visit.
With regards to the food, the menu is simple and specific. We stuck to the traditional stuff - that means karahi (original boneless) and kababs (chicken seekh) along with naan.
Although the karahi comes highly recommended, it was the kebabs that surprisingly left us craving for more! The kebab platter (3 per order) was truly an enjoyable delight, and it had us scraping off the onions from the grill plate till there was nothing left (sorry karahi). Soft and tender, these were definitely something we wanted more of.
Don't get me wrong, the karahi is absolutely a must try at this location, but if you ask me I prefer the karahi of another well known competitor in the GTA a tad bit over this one. I also like the option of having dark meat boneless chicken, as white meat tends to be less tender in karahi.
On this particular day, we opted not to go for the novelty of the 'family naan' cash grab and settled for regular naans, which were spectacular on their own (although the family naan does look cooler). I'm sure you can't go wrong either way.
Prices, as many have mentioned, are bit high for this type of fare, but is expected when we're talking about "cool" decor, high quality ingredients and that sort of thing. But I should mention that between the two of us, this meal could not be finished - even though the kebabs were done, we had karahi and naan to spare (and trust me, we eat). I'd predict our order could've nicely fed 3 (reasonable) people, making the price more sensible overall
KB is all in all a great place to go if your looking for a nice night out and is sure to please many taste buds. I...
Read moreMy friend and I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. The atmosphere was pleasant with a clean, well-decorated space and plenty of seating, which was a nice start. However, the service left much to be desired.
We were promptly seated and handed menus by a gentleman, but our server, Maha, was less than friendly. There was no smile or greeting, and she seemed uninterested in her job. While I understand that service can be exhausting, the lack of warmth and engagement was disappointing.
When it came time to order, we selected butter chicken, kebabs, and naans. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with our order. Instead of the butter chicken, we were served a beef curry. After notifying the staff, the curry was promptly taken off our table, and Maha came to apologize, assuring us that our butter chicken would be out soon. To our surprise, she brought back the same beef curry and said we could keep it, even though it was not what we ordered. By the time the butter chicken arrived, we were already finished eating, so we requested a to-go container. To make matters worse, we were charged for the incorrect dish, the beef curry, which was a frustrating oversight.
The butter chicken itself was disappointing. It lacked flavor and didn’t justify the $30 price tag. I really wouldn’t recommend this dish to anyone. On top of everything, Maha made an insensitive comment at the end of the meal, saying, "I’m so happy you guys eat beef" — which felt unnecessary and unprofessional, implying if we were Hindus it would be a disaster of a situation.
Overall, while the atmosphere was nice, the poor service, food mix-up, and lack of attention to detail made this a bad experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based...

This Pakistani restaurant is truly a hidden treasure. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made me feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer. The staff here are not only friendly, but they’re also incredibly professional, attentive, and passionate about what they do.
Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely exceptional. Every dish was bursting with bold, rich flavors that reflect the heart of traditional Pakistani cuisine. From the tender, perfectly spiced biryani to the creamy butter chicken, from the smoky grilled kebabs to the freshly baked naan straight from the tandoor — everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.
What impressed me the most was the balance between authenticity and presentation. The food stays true to its cultural roots, yet it’s plated with elegance and care. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every single dish they serve.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was another big plus. The tables, utensils, and even the restrooms were spotless, and everything felt well-organized and hygienic — something that matters a lot to me when dining out.
The atmosphere was also fantastic — warm lighting, comfortable seating, and even the background music added to the overall experience. Whether you’re going with family, friends, or even solo, this place offers a welcoming environment for everyone.
I’ve been to many restaurants in the city, but this one truly stands out for its combination of authentic taste, excellent service, and overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back — and bringing more friends with me next time!
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience real Pakistani food made with love and...
