We came as a party of two with reservations on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly full. Having been to the Colborne location before, the vibe here was totally different. We felt a bit overdressed, as most people were wearing really casual clothing. The other location definitely had a more upscale ambiance. We ordered two types of ravioli (the egg yolk with truffle was very good in particular), as well as some drinks and the salmon crudo. The salmon was tasty, and we could tell it was really good olive oil used. It lacked texture, so some bread or crostinis would have paired nicely. The ravioli tasted similar to the other location, which is excellent. Can't go wrong with the pasta dishes from this chain! Service was the main issue here. It was incredibly slow and fairly unapologetic. There was "miscommunication" with our order, and we had to watch as tables seated after us got their food first. We were told multiple times that the food would be "just another minute". Spoiler: it was not just another minute. We waited over an hour from when we were seated before getting our entrees, which really soured the experience. No real apologies or discounts or amendments, which I wasn't expecting but it would have been a nice gesture considering the huge wait. Overall the food was good, but due to service issues and ambiance I'd visit other branches rather than this one.

Our Summerlicious dinner at Piano Piano on Bloor Street was truly delightful. The $45 menu offered excellent value with an appetizer, main course, and dessert, though we found some dishes stood out more than others. The chopped salad completely redefined our expectations for what a salad could be - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For mains, the mushroom cavatelli impressed with its creamy texture and rich umami flavor, while the bacon Alfredo pizza arrived freshly baked with delicious, high-quality toppings. We did find the desserts (tiramisu and lemon cheesecake) sweeter than our personal preference. For those who enjoy more subtle desserts, you might want to consider ordering from the regular menu instead. The restaurant's atmosphere absolutely charmed us - elegant yet welcoming, with plenty of photogenic corners perfect for capturing special moments. Service was attentive without being intrusive. While we loved most of our meal, the dessert selection makes us consider ordering à la carte next time. That said, Piano Piano remains an excellent Summerlicious choice for food that's as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious.

Piano Piano is an absolute must-visit in Toronto! From the warm, inviting ambiance to the outstanding food, every detail is carefully curated for an unforgettable dining experience. We started with the whipped burrata with roasted grapes and toasted focaccia, which was the perfect combination of creamy, sweet, and crunchy. The prosciutto and parmesan dish was a standout, beautifully layered with salty, nutty, and tangy flavors. The pepperoni pizza had a perfectly blistered crust, a rich tomato base, and just the right amount of spice. The lobster pasta was indulgent, creamy, and packed with fresh seafood flavors. But the most unique and luxurious bite of the night? The smoked salmon & caviar donut, an absolute showstopper that balanced salty, creamy, and umami flavors effortlessly. Service was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming, making it an ideal spot for both casual nights out and special occasions. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

We went to Piano Piano to celebrate a friend’s birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment.

Right from the start, we let our server know we were celebrating and asked if they could bring out dessert with a candle or sparkler at the end. They agreed—but that was the last thing they got right.

The service was painfully slow. We were there for over two hours, not because we kept ordering, but simply waiting. I requested pasta with the meat on the side, something my boyfriend and I have easily ordered at other Piano Piano locations. The server said they would check if it was possible, but after a long wait, they brought out everyone’s main dishes—except mine. The server then informed me that the chef had messed up my order and was remaking it. After another wait, my dish finally arrived, but it still wasn’t what I had asked for. First, the server said they’d bring the meat on the side separately, but then came back and told me it wasn’t possible, so the chef was preparing another portion.

To top it all off, when it came time for the birthday dessert, they brought it out without the sparkler we had requested. The server nearly slammed it onto the table. Only after reminding them about the celebration did they bring another dessert with a sparkler, but by that point, the moment had lost its charm.

Overall, the service was terrible, and the experience left a bad taste. Safe to say, we won’t...

This was planned as a special occasion and celebratory dinner with family. We are west-enders and have lived on the block for three decades. We were excited to try a proper meal at PianoPiano. Unfortunately, we were mostly disappointed. The prix fixe was underwhelming and below value, including a first course of three small cold shrimp that were the same size as the half lemon wedge they were presented alongside: a basic shrimp cocktail in all but name. The courses were ill-conceived and out of alignment and the pasta especially was unbalanced, lacking in flavour and tasted like it had been thrown together inconsiderately, obtrusively by the kitchen. We identified that we were unsatisfied but no offer was made for an alternate dish nor comping of the item.

The wine by the glass was alright but overpriced.

As the meal continued, the service devolved. Finally, after waiting overlong to receive our desserts, we asked for the cheque and to pack the desserts to-go. Of course, it likely was a busy night and perhaps the staff was dealing with challenges, likely doing the best that they could but for this price point and hype, really not worth it. I live in a different part of town around the corner from another PianoPiano location and will not be patronizing this one either. Wish it could have been better: for our celebration and for the...
