My goodness, I wish there was a negative star option.

Who is running this absolutely detrimental sore on the Rudy name? Whoever is shouldn't work there anymore.

Ordered a burger, chicken sandwich and poutine on their app at 7:30, then the app said it'll be ready at 8:16. Red flag number one.

Arrived at 8:05, the door was locked.

At 8:10 an Uber driver finally caught the attention of someone inside who came out and delivered his order, before trying to close the window. I had to ask for my order through the window, I get that Covid is around, but don't make your clients knock on the door 50 feet from the counter while not seeing any restaurant staff.

Finally got my order at 8:14 and asked how long the bag the server grabbed was sitting out. "Maybe 15 or 20 minutes" was his response. No apology, no explanation.

Why the hell would the app tell me to wait until my order is ready at 8:16 when it was ready at 7:55 .

Now, on to the good part.

I'm a frequent Rudy client, Uber eats is how I usually get their food and it's amazing.it usually takes about 35min to get to my house. it's always perfect when it arrives and I've told everyone I know to get a Rude Dude as it's the best burger in Toronto.

What I received tonight was likely made an hour ago, ice cold and tasted like it was garbage.

The Valentino was half decent, albeit soggy and cold. The Rude Dude tasted like the meat was off. Far off. There was a slight hint of mothball.

No offense as I know this is your newest location, but wow, first time in years I haven't finished a burger because of the taste, and I'll remind that I've had probably 10 Rudy burgers before that were spectacular.

Poutine, ice cold, soggy, massively undercooked fries and lackluster gravy.

For delivery, I may think that would be acceptable as you have no control over the service to my house, the poutines I've ordered from the Danforth location always arrive perfect, crispy, awesome gravy and most importantly, hot!

This entire experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, literally.

Get it together.

If delivery from 30min away beats a pickup with a 2 minute walk back home, there is something...

What a great burger! This is the best fast-food at Yonge and Eglinton by a country mile.

The Burger - 11/10 The bun was delicious - not to soft, not soggy, perfect sauce level. The patties are cooked really well, and the crispy beef edges on the patty are like beefy bacon-like goodness. The dressing is perfect - nice fresh veggies, but not too much or too little - perfect vegetable ratio. The sauce is delicious, and perfect amount where it doesn't squirt everywhere - it works perfectly with the crispy delicious patties.

The Fries - 11/10 The fries here are insane portions, and are the best fries I have had at a burger joint - crisp but not overdone, perfect seasoning, and the oil they are fried in tastes really clean and unique. These really surprised me!

The Chocolate Shake - 12/10 One of the most authentic old style shakes I have ever had - deep malty flavour, really thick, but not impossible to drink - not too sweet - really the perfect drink to have with the burger and fries.

The staff are all super happy, friendly, and having a good time - that's what it's all about. Great work RUDY! I loved my first visit. Welcome to Yonge...

I recently dined at Rudy, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The burger I ordered was a true highlight of the meal – juicy, flavorful, and unmistakably fresh. It was evident that the patty wasn't just another frozen slab but rather crafted with care, possibly made fresh that very morning. And let's not forget the fries – perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they were simply delicious.

What truly made the visit memorable, though, was the impeccable service provided by Viral, our server. Not only was he attentive to our needs throughout the meal, but his warmth and friendliness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. His recommendations were spot-on, and he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed.

Overall, Rudy exceeded my expectations in terms of both food quality and service. It's clear that they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rudy to anyone looking for a satisfying meal served...

Tried Rudy on Eglinton and honestly, it was a big letdown. The place felt cold, outdated, and not very clean, which already gave off a bad impression. The burgers were especially disappointing—paper-thin patties that were barely noticeable, yet priced the same as places like Happy Burger or Rosie’s, where you actually get quality and value. Calling this a “smash burger” is misleading when the patty is so thin you can hardly taste it. I also tried the fried chicken, and it was clear it had been cooked in old, burnt oil—greasy, heavy, and far from fresh. It feels like the management here is just riding on the Rudy name without delivering the quality that made the original College Street location so popular. With high rent, lots of competition in the area, and this level of quality, I can’t see this location lasting long unless major changes are made. Disappointing overall.

I google searched‘burgers’ around my location and Rudy popped up. A Smash burger joint which looked quite interesting. I decided to try it out for a late night snack. Ordered a ‘Rude Dude’, which is a double patty smash burger, with fries and a strawberry shake! The burger was surprisingly good especially the crispy crunchy burnt edges of the burgers! Fries were a little thin for my liking but still decent. The shake was a little sweet but still an ok shake. The service was great. Friendly and polite. Very clean establishment with about 30 seats. Parking can be tricky as there is no dedicated parking space. Opened late night which is a plus. Price is affordable. Great for a late night craving

Full disclosure: we loveee RUDY’s College location. So expectations were high when we stumbled across their Eglington outpost. And, as usual, RUDY met all our very high expectations. Went for the tattooed Big Rudy (i.e.: with bacon) and fries. Perfectly seared with just the right amount of sauce. And the skinny fries (good recommendation, Cam!) were totally on point. Super friendly service with everything prepared fresh to order. Needless to say we still believe that RUDY remains Toronto’s reigning smash burger champion!
