In my neighborhood this restaurant stand outs as a remarkable place to enjoy. They offer a dining experience that truly delights the senses. This all-you-can-eat buffet is a haven for sushi lovers and Thai cuisine enthusiasts alike, providing an extensive menu that caters to a variety of tastes.
From the moment I walked in, the vibrant decor and welcoming ambiance set the stage for a memorable meal. The staff is attentive and friendly, eager to help you navigate the impressive array of dishes available.
The sushi selection is nothing short of spectacular. Fresh, expertly crafted rolls showcase a blend of traditional and innovative flavors, with options ranging from classic California rolls to unique creations that highlight seasonal ingredients. Each piece is a testament to the chef's skill, with the fish melting in your mouth.
I personally love Thai cuisine, and the offerings were equally impressive. Dishes like pad thai, green curry, and tom yum soup burst with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. The balance of spice and sweetness in the curries is particularly noteworthy, making each bite a delightful experience.
The buffet layout is organized and clean, allowing for easy access to all dishes. With the option to try a little bit of everything, you can create your own culinary journey, sampling various appetizers, main courses, and desserts without feeling rushed.
Speaking of desserts, i didn't miss the chance to indulge in the sweet treats offered.
Overall, 99 Sushi & Thai stands out not just for its extensive menu but for great customer service and also for its commitment to quality and customer...
Read moreAs my normal go-to sushi place was no longer offering an AYCE menu, my friend and I decided to give this place a try as their menu looked plentiful with a fair price. Gone are the days of sub $30 per person AYCE dinners unfortunately and with COVID decimating the service industry, it's tough to make the AYCE system work efficiently. While the sushi here was what I'd call decent as far as AYCE quality goes, the rolls and nigiri had too much rice. The fish portions were totally acceptable however the amount of rice did detract from the taste/texture I'm used to. The staple sashimi (salmon/red tuna/snapper) were small pieces which did not bother me too much as the service was quite prompt in replenishing our requests despite only having one waitress serving about 8-10 tables. Outside of the tempura and a few grilled options I did not try most of the hot options (fried rice, pad thai, udon, curries, etc) however many tables did and they seemed popular items. As a big fan of the grilled beef enoki rolls I was quite disappointed to see they were literally 2-3 inch pieces. Again, it was more of an annoyance than a quality issue. One thing that 99 Sushi does well is offer most of the AYCE grilled/fried items as single pieces servings so you can try one of each to get an idea of whether you would enjoy something as opposed to each order having multiple pieces. Overall, I'd return to 99 Sushi if I was in the area again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as their shortcomings were more than made up for with the wide array of choices (albeit it, in small portions) and the...
Read moreBEWARE OF 10% off LUNCH PROMO. THEY CHARGE YOU 15% GRATUITY WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
Absolutely disappointed with this restaurant as it’s my favourite sushi place close to home. This is my 3rd visit, but 1st lunch visit. The food was absolutely amazing as usual. However, the service and “policies” are trash.
So apparently if you opt for the 10% off lunch promo, they auto-grat their customers because as per one of the servers, “when we don’t charge with tax, MANY customers don’t leave tip.” Being an advocate for servers in the food industry, hearing this was completely disheartening! I am well aware of the many issues caused by the pandamic, and I personally wouldn’t dine out if I couldn’t afford to tip.
I always double check my bills to ensure I am tipping properly, but numbers didn’t make sense. What has me most upset is that the server had the audacity to bring me a handwritten bill, did not mention gratuity being added without my knowledge, and was very quick to hand me the debit/credit machine to pay before I even looked at my bill…
There was no manager on the floor to take care of the issue and i just don’t have the heart to leave without tipping. However, I’m definitely looking into this matter and will take legal action if necessary. Handwritten bills and billing gratuity without consent is super sketchy to me. This business has lost my respect and me...
