Have been coming here for years...many years. Never had a problem with the food or the Staff. Street talk of late had me worried and I returned for dinner. Yes, the cute muscle boys are gone for what I'm told is another location. Yes it hurt the business. Especially since it's in the Village and yes I'm sorry to say, the product, service and establishment are in need of tweaking. The kind an owner who made a bad call should make. BUT... The large chicken shawarma dinner to go I ordered with all the trimmings for 11 plus dollars was in fact a good meal. A couple of items could have been fresher but nothing to make me run to the bathroom as others have stated...knock on wood. Will I go back? Of course. The ultimate insult is having to eat this food with a fork. Plastic or otherwise. It is meant to be eaten with a pita, which lacked from my meal and was always included when the cute muscle boys used to work here. Hey Dad! Pay attention. You sent them to the wrong neighbourhood...if that's what happened. And if you hadn't noticed, they brought in customers. PS: The Staff member behind the counter who served my meal seemed like he didn't want to be there. In any case, a simple smile to greet the customer would have been nice.

Tables were disgusting, like almost slippery and just greasy, the potato was gross, the turnip looked DAYS OLD. Even the sauce had some other stuff in it mixed. Ordered a chicken shawarma plate , chicken tasted like crispy bacon, 4 bites in , instant stomach ache, it looks good but it really isnt. It was like chewing on some old gum. The samosas were gross, and way tooo spicy , And over did it with the seasoning The fries were waaaaaay too oily. If i was too finish everything. I prolly couldve gotten diabetes, or some bs. Not returning.

Went here yesterday with my boyfriend. First of all, they were frugal. We asked for extra dressing and sauce and the shawarma was still drier than the sahara desert. Second of all, they were highly restricted to their flimsy napkins. Had to ask for more because there were only 2 of them in our bag. On top of that, the washrooms were CLOSED. Which is truly unpleasant considering you're eating at a fast food place.

(WARNING: SCAMMERS!) On April 26 2024 I went in to buy a single beef shawarma ($3.99). This was $4.75, which was already overcharged since after taxes it should be $4.50. However, I pay by credit and I get a double charge for this which I did not get notified of until the next day when the transaction settled. I call the restaurant Monday telling them about this and the owner tells me to wait for a week since credit cards sometimes charge twice but will refund a double transaction. If there’s still no refund, he tells me to contact him again. Two weeks after I had purchased from Pita Way (May 10 2024) I come into the store to tell them the double charge has not been settled. At first the man working behind the counter (the owner of Pita Way) tells me to come back another week, and I tell him it’s been two weeks since the double charge has not been settled so I won’t. He then makes an excuse saying he is not the owner of the restaurant, and gives me “his boss cell number” to call which is actually the number to the restaurant! I made the call immediately while inside and I basically watch him walk over to the phone and mute my call. After confronting him about this he tells me he thinks the transaction I showed him on my account must be faked by me even though I show him through the official app and give him my phone for him to look. He continues to gaslight me saying he remembers me coming in and loitering at his restaurant for hours and I probably bought an extra shawarma for a friend that came to visit me so that’s why I got charged twice.(that's not true at all, I was there for 20 minutes and ate alone) I tell him he is lying and even if it was true, it doesn’t explain why the transaction time stamp is the same time. The next excuse he gives me is my credit card company must be shady and fake (????) I can’t believe what I was hearing. I’m going to be disputing this with my credit card company but the blatant lies and disrespect this owner has given me is not acceptable. All over $4.75 nonetheless. It says a lot about his morals and level of class if he is willing to stoop so low over pocket change.

I also looked at other reviews for this place and several have mentioned that they've been overcharged on their orders. I have a feeling that the owner purposely does this to certain customers.

As for the food, it’s nothing special. The $3.99 shawarma tastes mediocre at best and a quarter of the size you get at most places with very little meat/vegetables so it’s not even a good value for what you’re getting. Go to osmows or alpha shawarma where you won’t get overcharged and disrespected by the owners while receiving a shawarma that’s...

I love eating here. I'm the type that hates spending money to eat out because I always feel like its not worth it (high-key cheap lmao), but this place is absolutely worth it, especially at 3.99 for a small beef, chicken or mix shwarma. I always order a mix shwarma because you get both beef and chicken, but any option is perfectly fine. The beef has a strong beefy taste, and goes really well with any of their sauces. The chicken is juicy and flavorful and also goes well with the sauces. There's a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. They are also not skimpy with meat, I always feel satisfied unlike the times I went to Alibaba -_-. The service is also great, the lady at the counter is always super nice, and even remembers my order (I go at least once a week because I enjoy it so much). I've seen some reviews saying the shwarma tastes bad or the service is bad, but that is 100% false, not sure where that is coming from. Some dude even said the condiments are from the same as a hot dog stand??? Makes me question if he actually came here. The sauces are the same ones you get at any shwarma joint lmao.

Tldr: great place, cheap and delicious food,...
