Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Toronto

While the pizza is usually on point, this location has a major issue with discrimination in terms of their delivery practices. As a person with mobility issues, having stated that on my orders, drivers will refuse to deliver to an apartment due to no existent "safety issues" in the neighbourhood the store is actually located in. It doesn't matter the reasoning for request, including self quarantine, they will refuse and not deliver unless you meet them in the lobby (which contradicts their safety concerns).

Today in particular, I could barely walk due to my knee issues and still was told they would not come up to the apartment, though I had to contact them as the driver showed up, ignored the buzzer number and order notes, then left without even talking to me; I only found out because i called customer service wondering where my pizza was 2 minutes after it was to be delivered. When asked, customer service states that the driver wrote they could not deliver due to a safety issue, meanwhile, the drivers say it's a rule from head office, meaning the only safety issue is the fact that the building is in a predominantly black neighbourhood and the company is either trying to blame the driver for their racist policy or the drivers are flat out lying and getting away with it, at the detriment of people with mobility issues.

I could understand if there were recent incidents, but I have been getting food delivered by other restaurants/delivery services for 6 years here without a single issue, with the exception on drivers from pizza nova and pizza pizza refusing to deliver to the door. While this issue is still ongoing with pizza nova, the pizza pizza driver did end up delivering to my door, right before questioning my disability and threatening me, showing the only safety issue in 6 years was actually caused by a driver, not someone living in...

Wish I could leave a better review as I love the pizza from here but what I experienced last night was not ok. I tried ordering a pizza through uber eats, said to arrive within half hour to 45 minutes which was fine and the order status was showing up as is. After over an hour passed, I decided to give them a call just to receive an update of my order (this was around 5:00pm). I was very nice in my tone and proceeded to tell the woman my situation. She asked for my name, order details and address and told me wait a moment and then proceeded to hang up. I didn't think anything of it at the time as maybe the line just got cut so I decided to call back. As soon as I gave my name again, the woman said in the rudest tone ever "we don't have your order ok?!" and proceeded to hang up AGAIN. I doubled checked the order status on uber eats and my account details and everything was showing up just fine so I'm just confused as to why it wasn't showing up on their end. And that doesn't give the woman on the line an excuse to be as rude as she was when I was totally nice on my end. I ended up cancelling my order on uber eats and never received my pizza. When ordering a pizza from here, it's probably best just to call cause clearly there's some problem with uber eats...

This has always been my favourite Pizza Nova Location. Ive been going here time to time,its in the neighborhood.

On Tuesday Night around 10pm, i came by to purchase a slice, pop & dip. They were experiencing network issues with their debit/credit terminal. I tried my card 5 times and it didnt go through. It was brought to my attention that they had something wrong with the system.

The Manager on duty, (lady with short Red Hair) insisted that i take the pizza free of charge.. that was such a kind gesture and little did she know i really appreciate it. I already had a long tiring day still waiting to pick up my husband at the hospital nearby.. That really made my night.
