A Culinary Delight and a Heartwarming Experience at Pizza Pizza – 2480 Eglinton Avenue
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Pizza (2480 Eglinton Avenue), and I can confidently say that it was one of the most satisfying and heartwarming experiences I’ve had at a pizzeria. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a warm welcome from the staff—not the forced, robotic greetings you often find at chain restaurants, but a sincere acknowledgment that made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
A Masterclass in Simplicity and Flavor
Now, let’s talk about the food—because wow, did it exceed expectations! As someone who appreciates the fine details of culinary craftsmanship, I was impressed by the balance of flavors, the texture of the crust, and the overall execution of their pizzas.
The crust was a standout—light and airy on the inside yet perfectly crisp on the outside, with that satisfying golden-brown finish. It had just the right chew, showing that the dough had been properly proofed and baked at the perfect temperature. The sauce was robust and well-seasoned, with a delightful acidity that complemented the creamy richness of the mozzarella. Every bite carried that perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, and toppings—a true testament to the attention to detail in their preparation.
I opted for a classic pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The pepperoni had that perfect charred curl at the edges, releasing its rich, smoky oils into the cheese, while the mushrooms retained their earthy depth without turning soggy. Freshness was key here—nothing tasted mass-produced or overly processed, which made a world of difference.
The garlic dipping sauce? Absolute perfection. Velvety, garlicky, and just the right level of richness to enhance the crust without overpowering it. And don’t even get me started on their crispy, golden potato wedges—seasoned impeccably, with a crisp exterior and a fluffy, steaming-hot interior.
Service That Feels Like Family
Beyond the food, what truly made this experience unforgettable was the staff. Every interaction felt warm, personal, and genuine. They didn’t just take my order and move on—they engaged in conversation, made sure I was happy with my meal, and even shared a few laughs along the way.
In an industry where efficiency often overshadows hospitality, the team at this Pizza Pizza location brought back the essence of true customer service. It wasn’t just about serving food—it was about creating an experience where people feel welcome.
Final Thoughts

Read moreI've been ordering at this location for a fairly long time - a few years at least. I always order carryout since it's cheaper and I don't have to pay for delivery charges. Last week when I walked in to pick up the lady working there(short curly hair) knew exactly what my order was and she brought it over before I could even give her my information! When she was handing me the pizza I asked her if she knew what my order was? She replied: of course you are Ivan(my first name) and she followed up with: the Terrible! I took it as a joke and said nothing, but her body language wasn't friendly or displaying any joking ques...i paid and picked up the pie and headed for the door and as i was leaving she yelled back at me: Dont worry dont worry you are not Terrible and waived me off with her hand in a dissmissive manner. So after i left I thought about what could've prompted this outburst and it quickly dawned on me that there is a tip option on their debit/creditcard machine with various tip possibilities ranging from 15%, 25% , 35% to Other and No Tip! I never tip for any carryout since it's just that - you get in your car you drive and spend money on gas to go and pick up your own pizza, then they just bring it to you from the top of their oven to the cash register which is all but 3 meters of walking! I also never tip when I order fast food at the drive-thru at any fast food chain like Tim Hortons or Wendy's or when I shop at the grocery store...and I will highly encourage anyone willing to go and pick their own pizza to not leave any tip, because no extra service is being provided that will require tipping! I've always been satisfied with this location considering the pizza quality is hit and miss depending on who's working that day! I understand most employees are underpaid and overworked pretty much all across this particular sector so I will hold no grudge against this fine young lady for intentionally being highly unprofessional and rude to a loyal costumer. I do hope her boss sees this review though and encourages her to "DO...
Read moreI used to love pizza pizza but I can’t blindly trust on my pizzas with them anymore. I placed an online order to be delivered at my house. The pizza that I received was undercooked, dry and with a very bad crust. I have attached pictures for reference. I called the helpline and an agent gave us replacement pizza. The pizza was delivered by the same guy who came in earlier to deliver. It seemed that he was from Sri Lanka with age range of mid 40s. Truecaller showed his name as “Subaskaran Urth”. I am very upset with his behaviour. When he initially came in to deliver the first pizza,I tipped him well as he came delivering the pizza wen it was raining outside. However, when he came back with the replacement pizza he called me 5 mins before arriving at my place saying that he was already outside. And later he said that he was already here but then went back. He was super arrogant and threw the pizza pack on me saying “TAKE YOUR FREE PIZZA”. I got angry and said wat did you just say? i will complain about you and he didnot even bother to stay and just said “Do watever you want too”. Getting a wrong messed up pizza is one thing and bearing that driver’s attitude is another thing. If I could ever get a chance to talk to that driver again, I am gonna slam his face on wall just like he slammed the pizza on my face. And I would really love to talk to the store...
