Y'all.
I popped in today for a quick meal - just some Garlic Bread, Fries, and a Drink. Not their usual grab-it-and-go fare but nothing crazy.
Apparently something in my aura made the man behind the counter fear for his life though, because as soon as he heard me say "Garlic Bread", he decided I was done ordering, and just 180'd before I could finish my sentence.
Whatever, he's probably in a hurry.
I get his attention again and finish the order. His prior fear now abandonned he's now decided to put his face within I-can-feel-your-breath-my-guy range on my hands as I am putting my debit card in the machine. I later learned that the internet was shoddy that day, and so he was checking the connection, but because he also didn't have internet to Google "personal space", he also didn't know having someone breathe on my hands as I'm putting in my pin makes for a sub-par purchasing experience. But again, I need lunch, so whatever.
Through it all, none of this was worth complaining about. I'm miserable, but whatever, it's a franchise store and I'm hungry. But as minute 50 expires on my 60 minute lunch break, I feel prompted to go up to the counter to ask about the two things I ordered nearly an hour ago...
The kid behind the counter is allergic to eye contact, but mumbles to some invisible person in the opposite direction of me that it's on its way and will only take two minutes. Then, stricken with the realization that he was immediately caught in a lie, says "Uh, actually the payment didn't go through". While this happens, I'm watching this guy grab a bag of fries to START my order.
I suppose telling me this info at any point in the last 50 minutes would have been too taxing on the lad, especially given that I was an entire 20 feet away from him the whole time.
I am not in favour of giving minimum wage workers a hard time, but if these folk had ANY service training it was absolutely lost on them. The Bowood/Yonge Pizza Pizza. Where apparently, the dreams of...
Read moreThe worst pizzapizza branch I've ever dealt with. Only went 3 times. 2 times in person 1 time on skipthedishes. All 3 times they kept me waiting for my order for a considerable amount of time. First time went and ordered medium pepperoni pizza with wings. The attendant said 20 mins so I came back after 30 mins to which they said they need 20 more mins. The 2nd time I went they told me to wait 10 more mins after coming back to give them another try. The third time I thought maybe I should just skipthedishes them and my food would be ready on time. Nope. I arrived 5 mins after skipthedishes told me to arrive there to which the same attendant from my first visit told me to wait 10 more mins. That was enough for me. I dont mind waiting but when ur on a busy schedule sometimes you cant afford to wait an extra...
Read moreI just had a terrible experience in this store. The lady who was taking the order was so rude and was a racist. When I came here to order something she just asked me to wait and was attending customers who came after me. When this was questioned she was so disrespectful and asked me to order or to leave. 'Do you guys have a courtesy to check for what a customer is coming' - this was the only sentence I asked her and her response was like don't come her teach, you order or leave. After telling this to me she even don't want to take my order and started attending an other customer and this lady was so polite with them. And this is the first time I am experiencing this type of racism in Canada and you guys have the full...
