Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Toronto

After placing an order, I was told the order would be free if it was not ready within 30 min. I arrived at the location 20 min after placing my order and walked right up to the counter and was told my order was not ready by the female employee after taking a minute to check. A little more than 40 min go by and the female employee calls me over to verify my order, and tells me my order was called out earlier, but there was no response. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I didn't hear a peep out of this employee until she looked at me and called me over. I was sitting near the counter, so I'm pretty sure I would have heard her calling out my order if she did in fact call out at all. I told her my order is free since it's been past the 30 min, so she asks , I'm assuming was the manager, to speak with me. I explain the situation to him, but he claims my order was ready for pick up in 20 min after my order was placed. IF that were the case, then logically, my order should have been ready when I walked into this location.

He then proceeds to tell me he couldn't call out the order himself because he was already dealing with another customer at the time. So, I told him that was not my issue, and I was only waiting for my order. During this whole interaction, the female employee keeps insisting that she called out my order, and no one responded. I'm very certain she was lying, so she wouldn't get into any trouble. IF she was calling out an order to a handful of customers waiting to get their food, wouldn't it make sense to yell it out LOUD AND CLEAR, so customers CAN HEAR and aren't just sitting around and wasting unnecessary time? I explained this to the manager, but he didn't seem to keen on listening to what I had to say while the female employee at this point was beginning to sound like a broken record insisting she called out my order. All the while this was happening, the customer the manager was "dealing with" looked over to me and asked if I spoke Chinese since I looked Asian. I told her I didn't, but I wish I could so I can help her out since it looked like they messed up her order. From what I saw and heard, it was also a result of the female employee too.

In the end, I told them I would PAY for my order because my food was getting cold at this point, and I was starving. I will NOT be paying for any of their food as this will be my very last visit to this location. I don't understand how it's even remotely possible that IF someone yells out an order in a quiet place that NO ONE can hear it. This place needs someone who is HONEST and knows how to PROJECT...

This a less than steller pizza pizza experience I've ever had.

I've not ordered for years but my son was remembering pizza pizza. So I gave it a try!

So, then right at the delivery time I received a call saying they were stuck in traffic and it would be 10 to 20 minutes

The closest pizza to my location is 3 km away - 7 minutes right now! how is it possible that it took so long??

The pizza eventually arrived - he called and said he was in the lobby - I went down and he was not there

I had to call at 514 phone # (long distance) and asked him where he was - he said in the lobby - not my lobby.

He must have gone to the wrong place. So then he hung up. I went upstairs to my apartment.

Then he called again - so I went all the way down again and there he was coming in the front door - not the back door.

These were explicit instructions to use the parking lot entry and to call upon arrival. He did not follow the address or the instructions

Then, he opened up the heating bag and handed me the bag of cold drinks which were no longer cold - and the dipping sauce which was now warm.

And 2 warmish pizzas - cannot imagine how that happened - cold drinks/dips inside a bag meant to keep the pizza hot.

When i mentioned this to him he said that next time there would be something on the house

Why would I order again????

This was a very expensive trip...
