It’s a new take out place just near the parliament and Wellesley intersection, an Indian Sri lankan place. I was too excited to see this place open, but only to fall into dissatisfaction after my 3rd visit. Really had high expectations from this place. We love South Indian food both me and my spouse. We crave for it very often hence we’re very excited when we saw this place open up just near our home. One major point which I noticed and have attached images on it. From Friday to Sunday their service and food quality is top notch. Like the taste of the podi masala dosa which we ordered on a Saturday and one which we had on a Tuesday had absolutely poles apart taste. Also they give sambar on weekends and on weekdays they somehow adjust it will given dal instead of a sambar which actually goes well with the dosa. The potato filling was also tasteless on the weekday one and was so flavoured when we take it on weekend. No complains on the masala vada and medu vada they were similar on taste but major disappointment was for the dosa which we liked so much and we’re unhappy when we had a absolutely different item when we took on a weekday. Remember we ordered the same podi masala dosa both the days. The price is cheap as store has just opened , really affordable for 2 masala vada on just 99cents and similar for medu Vada and samosa and other snacks items. But quality is food is main. Hope this reaches the owner. We look for such food and tiffin centres opening near our homes so that during stressful weekdays we can grab food and enjoy ourselves. Please keep the quality same and don’t misguide the customers. Chutney quantity’s are also less but not complaining as...

I recently ordered from Poopathy mess, a brand new takeaway-only restaurant offering an authentic taste of the south. Despite being a takeaway-focused spot, the service was prompt and efficient, with my order ready within the estimated time. The packaging was neat, with each dish carefully sealed to maintain freshness. I started with their masala dosa, which was fragrant and well-spiced, with a perfect balance of vegetables. The Masala dosa had just the right amount of heat, complemented by a side of cooling raita. I also tried the Sambar Rice, which had a comforting, tangy flavor, and the sambar was thick, rich in spices, and accompanied by crunchy potato curry. The Medu Vada was a standout—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with fresh coconut chutney and a small cup of sambar. Each bite was a reminder of the authentic flavors of Tamil Nadu. I also enjoyed their tandoori chicken, which was perfectly seasoned with a mix of vegetables and tender pieces of meat. For dessert, I opted for Jeelebi, which was rich, yummy, and not overly sweet, a perfect way to end the meal. Though it's a takeaway-only spot, Poopathy mess truly brings the vibrant flavors of south india to your doorstep. It’s ideal for anyone looking to enjoy traditional dishes with convenience and without compromising on taste. I'll definitely be ordering again!

It was my first time here and I was very excited to try this Sri Lankan - South Indian new ( opened in Jan., I believe of 2025) take out place on parliament, just south of Wellesley. I will defiantly be going back!! They had almost everything I was craving, except maybe onion curry, and some darker leafy green curry ( which I ended up making to accompany my meal at home). Really affordable take out, with lots of ways to mix and match and have exactly what you want on a budget, and great flavours. Great customer service with a smile too. When I say its good for groups, I mean catering , or strictly take-out...as it really is a take -out place. I went on a Sunday, and twice during the week. Quality and different a few new curries too. JUST DELICIOUS!!Just added that after reading a previous review about weekend service being better than weekday. Not my experience. I seriously wish I could...
