This is probably one of the best Chinese food restaurants I have ever been to. The food is absolutely delicious; Just some of our favorites are the Hot and Sour soup, the beef & mushroom with black pepper sauce, Basil chicken, Mango salad, great Cantonese chow mein and I could literally go on and on. Every single dish we have tried we have LOVED.
The owner is the most kind and hospitable person, she is always happy to help and ensure that your experience is top notch. It is obvious she really cares about her customers and the quality of food she serves.
The home made hot sauce is beyond amazing, her husband makes this himself and it is incredible. The mango pudding dessert is another in house specialty they make and it is so tasty, it tastes a little like mango lassi and it is DELICIOUS!
The establishment is nice and cozy with big tables that offer a lot of room. We used to dine in but haven't in a while however I highly recommend. They also have free parking on the side as well and the hrs seem great too... when many other places are closed for holidays you will often see their open sign.
We will continue to come to this place over and over for the amazing food and impeccable service and it has become a staple to us...

The menu is pretty extensive in what they offer and I’d be willing to try new dishes. I was in the area so I ordered takeout and the wait was a bit long for what I was expecting as I was the only customer. They did mention they had to switch out the oil but even then I can’t imagine it taking an hour from when I placed my order to when I got my food.
While I was waiting, the owner was courteous and offered me some fortune cookies. She also turned on the karaoke machine and had asked if I wanted to sing but it’s not my thing.
I placed an order online because I figured it’d be faster but I noticed that they have deals for takeout paying in cash. However, apparently the deal only works if you call them to place the order which I think is kind of silly. So I didn’t get the deal even though I paid in cash. Also, I still somehow got charged a service fee which was a bit annoying.
The food itself was tasty, especially the salt and pepper squid. The Cantonese noodles I found lacked salt. Definitely get the crispy option if you order it.
If you’re looking for parking, there’s parking in the back...
Read moreI've passed this joint so many times but never paid much attention to it until recently and by coincidence - was making some spicy deep fried lobster at home and I wanted to complement it with a side of veg fried rice. After trying this place, I was pleasantly surprised and will not go elsewhere for chinese take out anymore. From my share of experience of chinese food, from lee chen bistro at yonge and bloor to late night hakka at chinatown and what makes Qinthai different is their ingredients. Food you eat is only as good as the ingredients in it and at qinthai, something as simple as a veg fried rice instead of using frozen vegs, they use freshly cut baby snap peas, bokchoys and other fresh vegs. And the deep fried squid is something to die for. I dont think I've had anything remotely as good in toronto chinese restuarants. I've had something similar in china town boston which I frequented often while visiting a company I used to work for. And the lady who owns/operates Qinthai is an immigrant success story, she is a strong woman running a business, friendly and loves...
